This video isn’t meant as a guide, it’s just a video of what I did that you might learn something from. I may do more videos on the PS90 in the future.

The PS90/P90 receiver is made of cast aluminum, not cast steel like I said in the video
The CMMG barrel was the way to go. I did the same and cut the barrel behind the pin. The shroud slides out the front and the barrel can come out from the rear of the receiver. I used a .22 caliber cleaning rod like you used the dowel rods, except the barrel could slide over the cleaning rod during removal of the old barrel and re-installation of the new one. The most nerve racking part of the process is cutting the barrel. Great video!
Uhhh why didn't you just take the pin out and slide the shroud off?
Son you ruined this gun!
Great video, got my F1 today, will be doing this shortly and this was a big help!
I'm about to buy one of these now that I'm out of college. Is there a way I can buy it sbr from the factory if I do the form 1 in advance? I just don't want to have to spend the money to buy a short barrel afterwards or have the factory 16 cut down and threaded.
Your wrong!! Factory barrel length on ps90 is WITHOUT shroud is 16 inches. With shoud is 18.5. If you didnt hack it into 3 pieces, and removed it right you would know this… Dont spead false info.
I SBR'd my PS90 a long time ago. I used a CMMG barrel and a Gemtech Flash Hider so I could use my Gemtech G5 Suppressor.
You really should have used the extreme heat thread locker for your installation regardless if you think that some day you might want to take it apart. There is the possibility that you will regret that decision.
how's it shoot?
Informative. Thanks
Good video. I got my PS90 a few weeks ago and now I want to SBR it. Instead of using TROS I think I will just get the CMMG 10.4" barrel and adapter. For the front wrench try 19mm. In reading about doing this the 15mm and 19 mm wrenches were mentioned as tools needed. Hope it all works well. Post some more videos on it.
OMG 4 MONTHS!!!! – We have a 2 week turn around time http://fn57sale.com
Good detail and explanations. Saved me some grief on my SBR project. I've got a CMMG 10.4" bbl and waiting on my form 1.
