Haven't tried many rangefinders but I'm sure none will work properly in fog or rain. Same as police can't use laser radar in such condition. Laser get jammed by water in the air and provide incorrect reading. Correct me if I'm wrong

I have the same rangefinder with the same issues. I think most of them react that way in fog though. I also don't like the low light text color, which is an orange on mine. Makes it very difficult to decipher. It's also a bit heavy compared to other brands. Good info Sean!
