  1. I'm new to all this. don't smoke me too hard, but I wish there was a system that installs and locks up as reliably as this without key mod, maybe in MLOK? I know that would mean the director or RD (keymod creator) at BCM would have to hop into bed with magpul but I think I'm leaning towards MLOK more but on this rail…. any ideas help!

  2. when you buy an upper from bcm and choose this handgaurd , is it pre-installed? and will they adjust the size to the barrel length you choose? im getting an 11.5 and perfer a 10 or 10.5 rail

  3. Great video. One question I have though. BCM says the hand guard flares outward 1/4 inch on the 3 and 9 oclock position going to the muzzle end of the rifle. Wouldn't this cause a weapon light mounted on the side to not be inline with the barrel at all? Or is there something I am forgetting about?

  4. I've always stumbled across some of your videos online, but only subscribed after watching this one and your explanation of Keymod. Great visuals, great explanations, great content. Thanks for doing what you do.

  5. With your experience in regards to the ar 15 platform do you believe that the forward assist is a must or is something that you can live without? Have you used in any type of situation and has it solves the problem?

  6. I'm sorry I like the kmr but it's not priced at a "really good price" it's dam near 300 dollars and its personally i don't think it's as strong as aluminum. Considering I already chipped a piece of it while installing.. I was not being extremely aggressive with it. I was just trying to separate it from the upper.

  7. Everyone except the 7 inch has been sold out for months, literally months. I emailed them and I was like why does it say you have complete uppers for sale with KMR's on them but not the KMR sold by itself and they said that they are currently only have them with complete uppers but that they update inventory everyday so keep checking back. Yea ima check back when I have been and ouve been sold out since october. My only thought is that they know how popular they are and that they can make extra money by selling it only with a complete upper and that people want it so bad theyll gladly spend 700 bucks just to get the KMR. Which I think is a little screwed up, but hey I just found 1 yesterday morning on Primary Arms.com! Finally got my 15''! So I am happy there, but unhappy with BCM as far as customer relations or service goes.

  8. Possibly a dumb question but with it being made from a a magnesium alloy is there any worry of it catching fire or combusting when finish where's off and exposed to open flame?

  9. What a great vid! Since I spent my sons college savings on my Daniel defense lite rail, it's made it pretty tough for me to transition to a new rail because I could not help but slap my self everytime I would go to my garage and see it just sitting there. But I think I'm gonna have to go with this new rail. I love everything bravo company so to me it's almost like I'm doing our country a favor by purchasing bravo company since they hire vets! Thanks for the vid, and fuck anyone who dislikes this vid!

  10. Stuck on whether to go with Midwest Industries' offering(great price & built in q.d. sockets is a nice touch) or this one. I'm looking to order in November(Black Friday?) so I'll have some time to decide. M-lok being around doesn't help either haha.

  11. Excellent vid! Answered a lot of my questions by seeing the camera angles you used and your review of the product. I guess in time products will be released to directly attach to the keymod sections instead of having to add an accessory rail, that is a big factor for me as I like to limit the amount of attachment points and I think it looks awful when there is a stubby rail attached with an item attached to it

  12. good job Twang, just built my first upper with a keymod 15" rail and a 18" fluted stainless barrel love it!! like you cant wait for more keymod accessories THERE SO LITE!!

  13. I like BCM. They make really good stuff and take the time to think things through. It makes their products reliable, rugged, and dependable.
I'm not interested in delicate "race guns," only "work" firearms that I know will function any time under any circumstance. BCM doesn't make the prettiest stuff out there but their stuff will "go to hell and back."

  14. I was too much in a rush and didn't heat the end of the barrel up before installing it to the barrel nut. Anyway, it scratched the inside of the barrel and I was wondering if this happened to you, would you be concerned? Thanks! Great video btw.
