12 gauge Harrington & Richardson ultra slug hunter (super accurate!!!)

Just some range time with my Harrington & Richardson 12 gauge slug gun at Open Range Sports.
Hornady SST slugs
100 yards indoors = 2.5″ groups
My elbow is scuffed up from the recoil dragging my arm across the table. I know it’s ugly haha.

Just to clarify, this is a 12 gauge shotgun with a rifled barrel. I don’t claim it to be a “sniper” rifle, or ultimate deer hunting weapon. It’s just something I took interest in and decided to give a whirl this deer season. The farm I hunt doesn’t present any shots over 100 yards, so it’s plenty of gun for the job.
So before you go knocking me for shooting at a “short distance” consider what I’m shooting with and that this indoor range has a max distance of 100 yards. If it was a 200 yard range, I’d zero for longer distance. As of now, I’m 1.5″ high at 100 yards though, so I feel confident with a little more distance anyway. If I want longer shots I’ll stick to my bolt .308 or go out and grab a Savage 220f if I want a 200 yard slug gun.

  1. my H&R is the most accurate slug gun i've ever owned but it's the biggest piece of shit…misfires…failure to eject and now pierces the primer on ammo that it actually fires…savage 220 in the future maybe
