Unboxing video of a new AR15 purchased from

Cheap vs. Inexpensive you make the call.

Keep in mind that this is a first look video and not a functional test video. The gun range video will come next after about 150 rounds. As of now, the gun appears to be perfect. (after a small fix – see video) and I have no reason to expect any issues at the gun range. That said, who knows what will really happen. Here is a general breakdown of my experience so far. Thanks for watching.

COST:
Lower = $159
Upper = $229 (stainless option)
BCG w/charging handle = $99
Shipping = $15

ISSUES/CONCERNS:
1. Lower issues with install of the buffer tube which was one rotation too far causing the upper not to be able to attach.
2. Castle nut was finger tight only.
3. I don’t believe that the upper or lower were actually test fitted (clearly) this should be a quality check before it leaves the building!

POSITIVES:
Upper – Everything looks great and is tight. Fit and finish are spot on. Forearm rail lines up perfectly to the receiver. A small bit of muzzle break issue but not a big deal.

Lower – Anderson receiver, LPK is unknown but functions. Finish is spot on. Not a “blem”

Rifle – Once the buffer issue was fixed, the upper and lower matched up really nice with not shaking noise except for the cheap standard stock.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Spoke with them on the phone twice and they were friendly and helpful. FFL has a different story and is a bit grumpy about the paper work. I wasn’t there and cannot speak to his conversation exactly so I will leave it at that.

SHIPPING:
Was completed in two parts. (Florida to Idaho) Lower was shipped USPS priority mail and received in three days. The lower was shipped through FedEx and took seven days.

PACKAGING:
Was standard but good enough to protect all of the parts.

OVERALL:
Happy

Equipment:
Canon T2i
Yi Action Camera
Premier Pro
Audition

  1. Good to know.i am looking for the same one you have.setting all my parts on my work bench covered with some rags so the wife don't see them.lol.thank you for the feedback.

  2. I just ordered an complete upper on the 12 of January 2018… Its the 22nd know and I still haven't heard anything… You'll right there customer service sucks… I've email them multiple times.. No response yet… I might just call them 2day since its Monday.. I hope I get lucky like y'all that have bought and received your stuff… Price is really hard to beat on these guys..

  3. I commented on your other video but I am very interested in this website. I'm new to AR rifles but they fit my criteria for a centerfire rifle and the prices look really good right now.

  4. The website says flat rate shipping, what USPS does and cause they do bigger shipments for the flat rate boxes could be the reason for the ups box. I would like to see it with 100 rounds or so. I ordered mine a few days ago and waiting shipping.

  5. They probably shipped it different days. Meaning, they could have made the upper receiver at a different time than the lower. That is why it didn't line up. They probably couldn't check because the the upper or lower was already shipped.

  6. They just shipped mishit yesterday morning. Ordered it on June 25th. Will fill you in when I get it put together and some rounds down range. I got the 1/8 twist melonited 16" upper, 15" key mod, melonited BCG, CH, LBK and BUIS shipped for $480.95. I already had an Anderson closed trigger stripped lower that I had $80 invested in including shipping and FFL. Complete rifle will come in just under $575.
