EOTech Fraud Lawsuit Refund Buyback Recall

I happen to live in a place where temperature soars to 51 degrees Celsius in summers and I wasn't aware of any recalls or government disputes, I recently noticed my reticle of etch 551 wasn't keeping a zero and it was jumping around, so I installed my Trijicon agog TA1 behind the EOTECH and aligned my Trijicon reticle with the eotech red dot,Subsequently noticed a big difference after a few shots, it had moved, both were screwed rock solid on my SCAR, I had the same issue with AIMPOINT PRO and I had it replaced, now its fine….

and stop buying your red dots off the net like Amazon. lots of replicas..for 30 bucks. then sold for 300 to 500. here in las vegas. Look up replica red dot they are not misleading any one it's the second person dealing them out.

aimpoint parallax is real bad. it works only if you keep your dot in the middle. but for to hard left or right and it will drift..have it to my son for his air gun

I replaced my aimpoint pro with a exps3. I like it better myself. I like the bigger window.

This company sucks…battery compartment in all… go bad…and the do not service their own product once it goes out of production.

Geez is the Eotech large enough? Wow.

Did you send it in for the refund? I must have been living under a rock because I just heard about this. Is it too late to get a refund?

There are a few problems with EOtechs:
1. MOA shift up to +/- 5 MOA at hot or cold temperatures
2. Permanent shift of up to +/- 2 MOA when returning to ambient.
3. 4 +/- 3 MOA parallax.
4. At temperature extremes up to an ADDITIONAL 4 MOA parallax.

Let's say you got unlucky and had all maximum shifts. Your gun got hot or cold and returned to ambient. 2 MOA shift. It then got hot or cold again. 5 MOA shift. You then engaged a target with the reticle on the edge of the sight. 7 MOA + 4 MOA shift.
That is a combined 18 MOA shift. EIGHTEEN MOA. You then missed your target by 18 inches at 100 yards due to the effects of the sight alone.

its simple, if you switch temperatures that much you re zero it. usually you re zero it anyway in extreme weather changes so whats the difference

Just mailed mine in today. Will replace it with an Aimpoint PRO or Trijicon MRO.

bunch of trolls. They just wanted the money event thought they never operate in those terrain. lol. I am keeping my 553 and exps 3-0 and the magnifier. i never hve had problem with my eotech and i live in new england area..

I returned two sights and I received my full refund, not super timely, but good enough.

What's the date of when they have to be turned in? I have a EXPS3 that's all pained up in camo so wonder if they will take it back

Had no problem with my return. Got my refund in about 4 weeks.

I just bought one. my friends all have one and they never had a problem.

Returned mine and bought a Vortex Spitfire 3X.

Mine was made in 11/16/2015 is mine faulty?

It wasn't just the zero shift. They lose their nitrogen purge and delaminate. They all do it and there is no fix. I had an HHS1 sent it in and received a refund. Done with EoTech.

sent back both of mine 2 1/2 months ago because they were battery eating pieces of shit. no check yet. I had been regretting buying them for quite awhile so I jumped at the chance to get rid of them. the fact that eotech knew about the issue and still sent them out in the field with soldiers is unforgivable so I would have sent them back just on that. I replaced both with trijicon mro's

I ran my eotech in Temps from 20°-105° and I never have any issues what so ever. Mine was not effected by this recall. I have over 5 friends who didn't have any issues either. I don't think it was for all models but I might be wrong. I have the 553 SOCOM and all my other buddies have the Xps3. But all of them exept for 1 are over 3 years old. I have personally shot around 1500 rounds on mine from point blank all the way to 200 yards.
I really like Eotech my eyes cannot pick up a nice crisp dot . When I see a single red dot it's more like a line because I have a stigmatizm or however the hell u spell it lol..
I do have to say this new SIG ROMEO 4C OR 4M are beyond belief. They are the real deal. I've allways wanted a eotech reticle in a compact red dot sight. I am still and will allways be an eotech fan boy but Sig new optic is in close running..
I do have to say my next optic is not gonna be a red dot and I've wanted one of these for a long time and will probably pick up a used one is the Trijicon ACOG (TA01NSN ).

Finally got rid of my eotech and got me a Sig ROMEO4C and I love it. Sig optics Rock!!

haven't really been all that happy with my exps 3. it's had issues before so I may just send it back. bummer.

Does EOTech plan on updating the production line to include remedying the current issues? They'd be foolish not to if they have capable engineers.

Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to fucking keep it. I have a Trijicon con mro and an aim point that will do the same thing at those extreme temperatures just not as severe. And this is a big if it's not guaranteed to happen I tested mine in some pretty extreme temperature changes and I've seen nothing. People are going all fucking Rambo for no reason.

Sent mine back in May, received an email last week some time saying my check would be mailed out in two to three weeks. Almost the end of July now.
