EOTech Buyer BEWARE!

This video covers the purchase of an EOTech clone optic. This optic fooled a few people before it reached my hands as being an authentic EOTech, which it is not. Clone EOTech HWS Optics will have:

1. Uncommon batteries. The counterfeit products often, but not always require several small hearing aid style batteries.

2. A product that offers interchangeable red and green reticle colors.

3. Highly reflective optics.

4. Visible LED light position inside the sight cavity.

5. The NV push button switches the LED to a different color instead of to a night vision mode.

6. Lack of EOTech manufacturing and serial number sticker.

  1. Just from initial observation, if this optic was on someone’s M4 in Afghanistan, it looks way to nice to have been used on a weapon that saw any use outside the wire. Good Day Everyone!

  2. If you want a real Eotech, take your butt to the local gunshop and, if they don't have them on the shelf asked them to order you one. if you want the real don't order from fakebay. Smdh head it was use in afghanistan not a nic or scratch on it, must of been use by a chair force person or a pog.

  3. The comments here by many of you (not all) is truly mind numbing. Though this video is 5 fucking years old, let me spell out the details for you. A friend of mine was "duped" into believing he picked this EoTech up from a reliable source, stated it was defective and offered it to me for $100 because he didn't have anything to put it on anyway. For the record, he lived in my home state and I was in Colorado. I had no way of seeing this optic in person until it showed up at my doorstep. Once I had a chance to look it over, I was easily able to determine it was a clone. Therefore, I advised him and he refunded me my money and I sent him back the optic. No harm, no foul.

But, by all means…keep up the trash talking, I enjoy a good laugh.

  4. something I noticed too, the clamp jaw is higher than the static jaw where your rail will sit in on either side, so when you tighten the thumb screw the sight tilts to the right! true it's on an airsoft rifle and I knew it wasn't a true EoTec but damn annoying anyway!!!

  5. Got the EXACT same clone. They did an excellent job on labeling on mine too!!!At least I got my 2-551s,and 1-552 for like $50 total.Work great other than non-reflective glass

  6. Bought a used AR with one of these (guy was honest that it wasn't a real EOTech) so I didn't extra for the optic. Mine didn't have the EOtech logo on the side though. I purchased a genuine EOTech but the rip-off is actually not the worst optic if you don't pay more than $40 for it haha

  7. Thanks for the heads up. Will be looking for a serial number at first glance. Yes I will pay more for this item than my rock river cost me. Two hundred yards out sure shot.

  8. BUYERS BEWARE snitactical took my money sent me a sight that way completely broken. I emailed them and sent it back at my own cost! 3 month later… Sophia will not refund my money!!! Had to have my bank issue a fraud clam and Visa is investigating this company… BUYERS BEWARE!!! This is a China only company!!! THEY THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH JUST KEEPING YOUR MONEY!!!

  9. $100 vs $500+ for a 'Real' EOTech?  Hummm. . . They basically do the same thing, right? I guess I don't care as much about 'shinny' finishes and serial number stickers. . .give me the cheaper one! . . . Let EOTech and the US Government worry about copy right infringements. .
