The VSeven (V7) Weapons Systems Crazy Light AR-15 Upper Build! We take the Budget Jack Carbine and make it an even lighter AR-15 build! VSeven (V7) Weapons Systems makes the lightest AR-15 parts on them market. They use very space aged alloys like 2055 and 2099 Lithium/Aluminum. These alloys are better in regards to improved stress durability and corrosion resistance. Stress is huge in firearm parts, so using materials that are improved and take more stress is never a bad thing! VSeven (V7) Weapons Systems also makes tons of titanium parts, like their bolt carrier groups and gas blocks. Throw all this together, like we are, and you get a nice weight savings.
We will also use VSeven (V7) Weapons Systems medium contoured fluted match barrel. It is 1 in 7 twist chambered in 5.56. Stay tuned for the build video when we throw all these VSeven (V7) Weapons Systems parts together.

Whatβs you recommendation in building a spr/dmr setup such as barrel ,twist rate and barrel length? And a recommended optic
Hey been waiting on the 2nd part to this video, completion and Range time ….
Iβve always heard billet receivers are not as strong as forged
Thanks for the vid. A couple thing you did not mention about the barrel that will help to understand the cost of it. The fluting is an option that can be added to most of the of their barrels. This not only helps to lighten the barrel but also adds surface area to aid in cooling. They offer color coating too. They also use polygonal rifling which aids in projectile sealing, cleaning and other things. Best to google this, but one more plus for barrel. Plus they have a lifetime warranty and come with a low profile gas block. I have used a bit of there stuff it is pricey but I think worth it. I have the titanium BCG in my two rifles but have been running the JP Silent Capture Spring buffer some very nice stuff. One thing I like about their Ti BCG is unlike most lightweight BCG all the metal is not milled away leaving you a toothpick. Yes it is light but I think the removing so much material weakens the BCG it might be good for a race gun or competition but not a battle rifle just my view. I have a couple vids on my rifle check it out let me know what you think if you have time. Thanks again for the vid some real good stuff.
UPDATE US.
How is the titanium BCG working out? Any reliability or cycling issues?
7.5 inch AR pistol using a KMR rail , SBA3 brace, WML light, Trijicon RMR (279$ from cabelas sale), Ballistics advantage barrel (which trumps all aftermarket barrels for the money in my opinion), DSA titanium A2 flash hider and lower parts, = a sub 5 pound bad to the bone gun for <1000$
Nice, I would have run a criterion 223 Wylde barrel though.
know the diameter of the gas port on that lovely barrel?
Why get a lightweight BCG, then add a heavy buffer? Seems like a waist of money? Could have gone with a light BCG with a light buffer and used an adjustable gas block.
Dude…. first video of yours Iβve watched… I love your channel!
Where's the assembly video?
I can't find the video on the Budget Jack Carbine Build… Any help will be appreciated.
Just subscribed. I am hoping for an update vid with accuracy results. I've been meaning to build a VSeven upper but other builds help priority but this video has reinvigorated the desire to build me some V7
HOWS THE BCG HOLDING UP????
DSA Arms has a lot of light weight titanium components at a much more attractive price point. Additionally, PWS has a really great light weight fluted buffer tube with a ratchet lock castle nut.
Ok, where can I go to get my hands on one of those OSS Banner Alpha muzzle brake/flash hiders? Iβve looked and canβt find them βin stockβ.
AR made out of carbon nanotubes when?
I hate cats, just shoot the cat
I agree about achieving lightness but that rail looks like if it fell on to a rock hard enough it would dent or break easier than others. I think I'm going to stick with my BCM KMR Alpha rail, yes it's keymod and I don't care.
Way cool.
If only I was a RICH F**ker..
Very interested to see how the accuracy holds up over a course of fire.
Good video Berz. I'm looking forward to the new build you're planning. Thanks!
Love vseven products, great vid
You just gave me rifle blue balls!
In anybody's opinion, how light is too light for an AR?
I like the technical vids. Breaks up all the reviews if you're sub'd to multiple firearm channels. ππ
Nice intro Jefferson starship but heard born to be alive , Nice build hopefully we'll see the rangetime , NICE when everything comes together!!!! LATER!!! π π
I'll be interested in how that lightweight carrier works…I'm usually against messing with the weights on the moving parts but hey im open to seeing if it works!
Did the lighter BCG have you considering a different buffer spring?
Mmmm titanium
Honest question. Whatβs the advantage, other than weight, in not having a forward assist on the upper?
Can't wait to see the the complete rifle π
Why are we In a race for the lightest ar? It's not like an ar is a heavy weapon.
My wife and I just bought a complete Vseven rifle, ITS BAD ASS! Just tested the lightweight fluted barrel and itβs very accurate. Itβs got tons of titanium parts including titanium bolt carrier which saves 4 ounces alone. The rifle we purchased weighs 4 pounds 14 ounces naked
Cool!
Been looking forward to a jack update
