I do some shooting with the Viridian X5L on my Glock 22, do a beam comparison with the Streamlight TLR-2 and the Surefire X300U, and go over the features of the light and what I think of it overall.

  1. Hi im looking for this earth toned one!
I cant seem to find it only in black.
    And its discontinued!.
There saying its 300. Bucks amazon found it for $179.95..
2 problems do i need that holster? Or can i use mine? And is it easy to turn light and laser on without the magnetic holster. Lumen is 177?? I thought you said 240. Gen 3 is 500 overkill? Its also bigger and just let me know is the light is sufficient!. And were i can get this i do not want black.

And they keep teling me the 300 prices. Its $179.95 amozon. Is 8t a good light source? And is the laser good? I have a 1994 tacstar lol old but its bright 25 years old. And your videos are outstanding.. keep up the good work. Thank you..

  2. So I see in your video title it says gen 2, however I was told recently the way to tell gen 2 from gen 3 is that the gen 3 model has the name viridian in all caps as yours does in the video. Not trying to be a jerk just trying to get clarification as to which one is which, considering I will be purchasing one of these in the very near future.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and love the channel

  3. Do they make that magnetic holster without a retention system? I heard you say other options for holsters were out there but not sure if you mentioned that specifically. Thanks in advance. 🙂

  4. Finally someone compared it to the surefire. I bought the X5L and tac holster for my Glock 17and I love it. I light that it is smaller and lighter. Eventually with gear belts and chest rigs u get nicked and dimmed on the weight

  5. A laser is a gimmick that has NO real useful purpose, and requires a total retraining manual of arms to master–and for what? A gadget for idiots and wanna-be commandos. A good set of night sights solved the problem of dim light shooting decades ago.

  6. eww .40cal, how 2007 of you!

HAHA but yeah i actually still like .40 my uspc 40 handled it well but i sold that off. still have a 226 also with .357sig and barsto 9mm conversion so i can shoot all 3.

  7. Glock 22 was my first ever hand-gun. Didn't research well and NOW I know the snapy recoil wasn't just me. Now, is that a Glock issue or any pistol in .40 cal (still the only hand gun I own)?

  8. Hey Mrgunsngear I have thought about this a lot and the whole gun control thing. And a good logical way I think guns could be regulated with both sides being happy could be the scientific way. When I say both sides the other side being skeptical of firearms and not totally against it. Like we all have argued the lethality of firearms is not based on stocks or barrel length or semi or full auto. All of that is just crap. I believe that gun control could be regulated with a simple rule of thumb which is caliber of the cartridge or bullet. The bullet defines your firearm and with some deviation with Barrel length or type of action. If we can have legality of guns based on calibers and even better yet, joules of energy at various distances, it could really simplify things. If the cops and government is worried about people shooting them up, maybe we can legalize firearms that provide a certain amount of energy based on caliber and make anything above that threshold illegal. So the cops can buy bulletproof vest that can handle that much energy. For example, if we made cartridges above the caliber of 8 or 10mm illegal and made anything above cartain muzzle energy illegal and had no restriction of anything below that threshold, it could simplify laws and get rid of this nonsense. The real struggle would be decide that threshold but I am reasonable and would be ready for such laws since insanely powerful cartridges are somewhat useless and I guess it could possible simplify the laws. So when guns are introduced in the market, ATF can check for muzzle velocities can cartridges being offered and as long as they fall under that limit, everything goes. No bans of braces, stocks, accessories, mags, full semi or burst modes or anything. And new cartridges being introduced with ATF approval but they can't ban types of guns or barrel length or something. What do you think? I am posting this on many gun channels to get idea of opinions from everyone.
