  1. As a gunsmith I'm impressed you should make instructional videos I've seen many accredited programs way worse, great job thanks for helping the industry you 're professional and greatly skilled in our discipline!

  2. Radical Arms 20' 6.5 Grendel 440$ free shipping; doing the same game.
And a 200$, 6.5 Creedmoor rifle shooting .50 MOA groups.
I guess if we call it a hobby, then your labor and tools don't cost anything and are not included in the total build cost.

  3. What about the buffer? Did you stay with the original smaller buffer? Do you feel that you may need to have to go with a rifle buffer? I've been researching on building my AR 6.5CM based off much research and many folks have said they recommended going to a rifle buffer instead of the original carbine buffer.

  4. How you don't have many more subs is beyond me. This video was informative, and straight to the point with no BS. And all presented by someone that has a sound knowledge of what they're presenting.
    Well done.

  5. Ok great video but it is still a 10lb rifle with scope and ammo so since it is a hunting gun and not a bench rifle why not get a barrel with the same proportions as the stock barrel thus taking another 1/2 lb or so back off the rifle? then you end up with a 9 lb hunting rifle in a great caliber…. I know this game as i carry a Gen 1 308 and have tried everything to get it lighter finally settling for 9 lbs…in any event great video..well done thanks

  6. Thanks for the video!! I currently own a dpms gen2 recon 308, it's a great shooter with my handloads but the round count is getting up there!! Ive been toying with the idea of converting it to a 6.5 creedmore but until I seen this video I was under the impression I would need a custom barrel cut to fit this models upper receiver. So thank you very much! I will be ordering a rainier arms barrel here shortly.

  7. I stopped watching this after he attached the barrel because I saw he was making SEVERAL errors:
    * Did not grease all points of contact between the barrel and the upper to prevent corrosion between unlike metals.
    * Did not condition the threads when applying the barrel nut.
    * Did not use a torque wrench when tightening the barrel nut.

Also since this is a match gun:
    * Did not attach the barrel while in a vertical position.
    * Did not use a barrel extension tool while torquing the barrel nut.

  8. pretty light for a 6.5 creedmoor. 6.5 barrels are inherently heavy. the hot round needs a tough barrel. I've managed to hit sub 7 lbs on a .308 ar but can't find a barrel that will do the trick for a 6.5 creedmoor. this one came in at a good price as well.

  9. No substitute for good teachers! This puts me in my of TubalCain machine shop tips. People want to believe teachers are not important in our society, but they are dead wrong.
Thank you again for your videos.
