Believe that when postioning the scope rings, and postioning the scope there should be a gap of least .250 inch between turrets and transitions of the scope body.
Nice video
Nice video. You can see the lower level on your gun better without the scope. Level the gun first, then snug up and level the scope. Then tighten down. Make sure you get the right type of Loctite; I believe the blue version is okay. Some of the Loctite (red, I think), you have to heat up before it will release.
Thanks for the good info. I'll be mounting a new scope soon. On another note, do you have a fan I could borrow?
you are right about using a driver.
Brother, cantilever or regular rings? does cantilever give one a zero advantage?
I cannot get my SIG SAUER CP4 OPTICAL SIGHT 4X scope sighted in. My windage adjustment turret has been rotated to its maximum allowance. My scope is mounted securely. Could my picatinny rail be mounted out of alignment on my receiver? I have a quality Sig Sauer 516 Patrol. Ideas?
Use a bipod that can cant instead of a vice. works better for leveling.
Had a quick question you mention that the mounts where utg highs I seen them on amazon and was wondering where they the 22 mils.because i see they clear your backup iron sights..
Thanks for the tutorial on mounting the scope!! Just sub.as well!! 😀😀
Looks good. Helpful stuff.
