What brand barrel nut is that?
Nice to the point review without all the rambling on. Subscribed.
It appears–based on the ION keymod handguard I received just yesterday–that SLR has wisely modified and improved the clamping design. The newer models have 2 separate inserts–one for each bolt–that slip into large rectangular holes where, on your version, there are simply 2 bolt holes. Gone is that spacer that slips in the gap; there is no gap on the latest models. The new design is definitely a structural improvement, as it redistributes the clamping force to reduce the likelihood of failure or cracking in this area during installation. SLR makes damn fine rifle bits, to be sure!
do you know what size wrench you need to tighten the barrel nut.
I think they make the best on the market.
