Here is a quick video review of arguably two of the best rifle optics on the market being reviewed by the Trigger Time Training Staff. The legendary EOTech model 512 and the Spectar DR Elcan 1 – 4 Duel Role optic are dissected and discussed. One is cheap and reliable, one is more expensive and robust. Enjoy the review and leave your comments at the bottom.

  1. Nice review again. What is your opinion on Elcan Spectar replicas, made by other manufacturers for lower price. Have you tested any of these in comparison? I realize you usually get what you pay for so I won't be suprised if the replicas don't deliver as well, just curious about your results. Thanks

  2. nice review! I was just wondering why you said the downside of the elcan is having to physically remove it, Doesn't it come equipped with back up sights on top? Saving to get one soon…the limited edition flat dark earth is back!

  3. You get what you pay for. I run an EOTech EXPS3 and love it, have always loved EOTech's. For about $1200, you can get an EOTech and a 3x magnifier, or for $2000, you can get a 1-4x magnified optic like the SpecterDR. Both are wonderful systems, and it ultimately will come down to what you honestly need/want, and how much you want to bankrupt your wallet.

  4. what are your thoughts on the Leupold HAMR with DeltaPoint.  I believe it to be very durable, great glass, awesome battery life, offers a red dot and 4x magnifier and with military discount costs around $1200.  I have this on my SCAR 16 and am very confident with it.  Only downside so far is the DeltaPoint is a pain to zero.  Thanks for the video!
