Leopold FireDot-G SPR Mark AR Mod-1 1.5 to 4 times 20
I have a Leopold AR site with a one inch objective. I have tried the medium and high mounts also from Leopold. They both have the front sight in the sight picture and ruin the whole idea of a scope. How did you avoid the front sight being in the picture?
Does the flash hider or muzzle brake have to come off the rifles to do this.
This has been the best and most complete demonstration of bore sighting a scope to date. Thank you
Why is the vertical cross hair not plumb. Think you need to adjust the scope or the rifle before you do this adjustment surely !!
The scope is canted; the horizontal line to the right of the vertical line is below the horizon and the left is above the horizon. Is there a reason for that?
Awesome job! Super simple and informative. Thank you.
Why would u not want the mounting brackets as far apart as possible? More stable platform than when they're close together in the center of the scope
too funny…Homer Glenn huh…i used to live in Orland park…small world
finger on the trigger?
Dont you have to remove the front sight off
Setting the cross hair to zero @ 75 yards (150 feet) is wrong. The laser dot and cross hair ought to have somewhere around 3/4 inch separation with the laser dot below the X on the target. I'm not sure you would even cut paper with that bore sighting set up.
Excellent video!
Scope is tilted alittle….
Doesn't the scope get in the way of the charging handle?
Have you gotten to the PTSD level that you get from shooting these guns? Lol.
Keep your finger off the trigger!
Use an inch pound torque screwdriver or wrench as well…
Looks like it would get in the way of the charging handle?
Nice utilization of the word, catawampus, under used word for sure!! π
KEEP YOUR FINGER AWAY FROM TRIGGER !! First lesson
Some good comments here…my only suggestion would be to cover eye relief a little more by adjusting the scope while mounted to the ar 15, with the upper screws of the scope mount loose enough to bring the scope closer or farther to your eye. And that depends upon where you have your buttstock placed and locked in position…and where it is most comfortable with the shooter. Lastly tighten down those screws and nuts pretty good, you should be able to drop it, drag it through the woods, etc…and still have the scope on target.
OK
Scope needs to be turned to the left
thank you ππΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ
What about if it interferes with the bolt group????
It looks like that front sight will be obstruction when looking through the scope.
This was the best Iβve watched.so many other are so dorky and talk way to much.
Your scope is canted there twinky – LOL
Good video-thanks. On the bore sight- what brand name is that? Is that type of bore site that can fit different calibers as good as the ones that are made just for one caliber and actually go into pistol-rifle and shine down thorough the barrel itself???
If you move your scope forward of the charging handle you'll be able to function the weapon faster and be more accurate just a thought.
