  1. JUL 2016 – "peaceful" rally downtown turns into a riot as the sun goes down. I'm listening to the county sheriff's office on the scanner. City PD calls in advance for reinforcements from the county, including air support. Tensions build, and you can hear it in the Deputies' voices. County runs out of Deputies to send, calls highway patrol for reinforcements. Highway only has a few that they can send.

Meanwhile, the rest of the county is effectively without law enforcement coverage. Calls are having to go unanswered. Including one for a disturbance in our rural area, caused by some known repeat offender meth heads, one of which would later murder the other the following year. No one to send. Just this February, we had an attempted home invasion while my wife was home with the children. Law enforcement took an hour to get there, and they didn't even stop; they just drove on by. Thankfully, she had the equipment and plans to deal with it if they hadn't disengaged.

You don't have to be in the area of the riot to be negatively impacted by it. Be prepared to be your own first responder. When things go really, really wrong, the government can't be counted on to be there for you. But it doesn't even have to be a major event, it can happen any given day, like it did with us.

  2. I remember watching the LA riots after the Rodney King Verdict and seeing a man on top of his roof protecting himself and his family with a AR-15 from a mob of thugs that had surrounded his house you tell me he didn't need a AR-15.

  3. Annoying music. Too loud compared to your voice and the audio of the rest of the video. Same with your intro graphic. To loud compared to your voice. Lots of gun channels do this. Normalize the audio! =) Otherwise good stuff. Keep Em coming!

  4. Read “The Gulag Archipelago” by Solzhenitsyn. It’s kind of a difficult book to follow so it helps to research the events of the Soviet Union in the 1920s and 1930s. The collectivization, purging of the landowners, and starvation of the Ukrainians.

  5. there are true stories in this country about folks defending themselves and their homes and families against multiple attackers. using ar15s and similar weapons. I mean the victims not attackers. just do a Google search
