6.5 Creedmor AR10 You Should Buy: DB 10

Could it be Diamondback, a previously beleaguered firearms company is making a comeback? As a consumer advocate I root for this process to happen. That means they have corrected past mistakes and begin to produce high value, useful things that people want to buy. That might be just the case with the Diamondback DB10 AR10 pattern semi auto rifle (SAPR). Thanks to some ammo from Gunnies/Federal we secured a test example of the DB10 in 6.5 Creedmor and put the gun through our desert testing. We were impressed. Though not shot with a can, the DB10 was 100% reliable and the video will show it’s impressive accuracy results. This is the 20 inch version with a proprietary DB barrel which is a shooter. Components, BCG, SAWC, and interesting discussion on having a 6.5mm AR10 will ensue. You’ll even get a surprise Star Wars Probe Droid review along the way (what?). Bottom line: we’d buy this gun without question.

  1. You are literally the only good review I could find on this rifle. I just picked one up and I plan to do a review on it as well. I have never made a YouTube video EVER. Do I need you permission to add a link to your video in my review?? I will refer people to your video for a more processional and quality review. PS love your videos!

  2. i really want a 6.5 creedmore. i already got a 7.62x54r. so a 308 win sorta seems pointless to me. i just hope the creedmore catches on more so the prices on ammo could one day rival 308 win.

  3. Very effective for hunting, I ran 95gr VMax for coyotes and put the dogs down quick, took a doe at 235yds with same bullet, she just hit the ground. Liquefied the internals. How ever I did end up loading 135 Berger classic hunters for actual deer hunts. Also very impressed with some of the newer UTG stuff coming out.

  4. Just going to check in here. 6.5 Creed is a pretty effective hunting round on medium sized game. White tailed deer, mule deer and pronghorn are dead where they stand at ranges out to 500 yards. It has the potential be effective out past that range but personally, I wouldn’t take that shot. For me, it’s ethics. To many things could go wrong. The very last thing I would ever want to do is wound an animal and then not be able to retrieve it. Rant concluded.

  5. Hey Nutn! Have you had the chance to shoot an Aero Precision AR10? I was going to go with the DD5V2, then saw your review and said no way. Want to be able to swap out barrels and go 6.5 creedmor every now and then. Thanks

  6. What shooting sticks is he using? I've looked everywhere and can't find em. I have some but his looks way better and easier to handle. Mine are so clumsy and would never want to use them in a real life situation.

  7. I am extremely impressed with my DB10ELB 308, I have made some changes, MOE Rifle Stock, Griffin Armament SNA-TCH charging handle, VG6 Gamma Muzzle Break, JP Silent Captured Buffer Heavy, right now I have a Vortex HST 6-24X50 in a Warne Mount. I have shot it severso times, last trip I ran 3 different types of ammo AE, SB, and Federal M80 ball. All of them shot MOA or better at 100 yards, AE and SB were close to .5 MOA, the weather wasn't the best, it was poring rain, and the wind was 5-10 blowing in my face, so I was getting rain on my shooting glasses, I think if conditions were perfect I could have gotten .5 easily. As I said when I bought it, I was Apprehensive, with the changes I have made I am still under $1,300 with 6 Mapul 20rd Mags, I would highly recommend the DB10. I would suggest using a JP Silent Captured heavy system for AR10's, that in conjunction with the Gamma made it feel like I was shooting an AR15, No Joke. I have had no issues with cycling or the bolt locking back, DB10ELB is a big winner

  8. Hey Nutn have you had a chance to checkout the M&P 10 in 6.5 that Smith & Wesson just announced a few months ago? If you are planning to tabletop it anytime soon would love to wait and hear what you have to say. I am assuming you will like it, but just cause the 308 is a beast, doesn't guarantee the 6.5 version will be too.

  9. Hey Nutn, I have recently purchased a Ruger AR MPR. The rifle has an 18 inch barrel, with a 1 in 8 twist and 5r rifling. I am currently shopping for an optic, and my purpose is to be able to use it for home defense, though I would like to be able to extend it's range out to 300 or so(more for the fun of ranging it out than for any practical reason). Right now I am considering either a 1-6x optic, or a 3-9x scope with an offset micro red dot. I have been trying to weigh the pros and cons to each setup, and would like a little input on it. I have also considered a holosun 503 with an ACSS reticule, though that would make med range shooting more challenging, so I would think. Anyways, I'd you see this, feel free for some input or any other TNPers feel free tobcomment
