  1. I was told by someone i know that hunts deer that this type of rifle i wouldnt need any higher than 7 or 8x magnification even with the traditional Nato round. never had a chance to use my new rifle yet so just wondering if in your experience its true or not.

  2. The ORC comes with no flash hider/compensator. I had the barrel threaded and installed the Primary Weapon Systems flash hider myself. And since the barrel itself is actually longer than the required 16", I didn't have to weld or pin it.

  3. @IZIPPLE I forget the actual S&W part number but it's the M&P15 ORC made for California compliance. There is only one model like this. Go to the S&W website and browse the M&P rifles and look for the ORC CA compliant rifle and that's what I have. I did make some changes to it which describe in the video.

  4. @beemer318coupe I think this scope is excellent. It has performed exactly as Nikon claims. The bullet they are matching the ballistics to doesn't have to be a polymer tipped bullet. As long as you are shooting a 55gr FMJ that has a muzzle velocity of 3240 fps, you are good.

As far as different ranges, the Rapid Action Turret has a selectable range from 100-600 yards with increments marked at 100, 200, 300, 400, 450, 500, 550 and 600. But, you can crank it shorter than 100 and farther than 600.

  5. Great setup…I'm going to look into this scope for sure. The M&P-15 is one of better carbines out there. The one in my last video is the second one I've purchased. Both are great shooters. Thanks for info brother!
