How would you compare it to the VX-R PATROL 1.25-4×20 RIFLESCOPE?
I am planning to use it with 6.5 Grendel, you think it can handle that round and be reliable over time?
Have one and love it
Thanks for this honest review, I am trying to make My mind up between this, and the VXR Patrol 3X9x40.
This scope, especially on deployment would be perfect for a recce rifle
Where did you get it for that price??
Great review! Would you prefer a 3-9 or 1-8?
Nice review man 👌🏼
Nice vid but u forget to show the green reticle
Your reviews are both informative and interesting. I used this review to help me decide which scope to buy for my AR-15. Thanks!
good review. One problem i have with your review however is your review of the turrets. Its spinning all over the place because its not tightened.. you have to tighten it with allen keys evenly to avoid that(with any scope really..) Also, you keep refering to the tmr reticle as a BDC. Using that terminology isnt really accurate. The tmr is simply a measuring device(same as mil dot etc.) a BDC reticle would be one that has marks for different distances based on a specific caliber. This scope does have a bdc on the turret.
Good review though, sorry if i'm nit picking it.
Do you know what barrel length they calibrated the scope for to shoot 55 grains? I'm trying to figure out what will give me the best performance
Something that LEUPOLD is known for is repeatability meaning say you zero your rifle at 100 yards on the lowest magnification 3 power. Ok so you have a great 5 shot zero so you increase the magnification to 4x then 5 shots, then 6x with 5 shots then 7x and 8x and 9x of course firing 5 shots at each new magnification setting and after completing the entire scale of 3 to 9 x. What is so amazing about these scopes is that the point of impact stays the same through out the entire range of power magnification. Ok, so now your at 9x and you turn the dial all the way back down to the bottom at 3x and wow! The impact is still right where it was for the first group fired on 3x. That is a very important and valuable ability of LEUPOLD scopes are well know for their accuracy and their repeatability. Try it on any scope you now have and see what happens. Then check out a LEUPOLD scope at the exact same test and you should be convinced. Thanks for the review
I love mine. A the fire dot really helps shooting at black targets which hide your reticle. I shoot sub moa 3 shot groups @100 yards out of my Sig516 with 62g ammo.
I purchased a smith & Wesson M&P10 30th I am looking to put a scope on it. I would like a quality scope but unfortunately on a budget. would you recommend this mark ar or a vortex. any help would be appreciated. thanks
Thanks for the great review, looking for a decent range scope and I think this will fit the bill. Especially at the $300 mark. Where did you purchase the scope for that price?
What AR 15 is the one he always carries on his videos?
I put this scope on my BCM 18" SPR build and have been very happy with its performance. My plan for the gun was an urban "sniper" gun that can make quick hits from 50-300 yards and the 3×9 is perfect for that. Green firedot is great! Used a LaRue QD mount which is also awesome.
fog proof means internal foggin
What is the Leupold part number for this scope?
What about the luepold 2-7? I'm seriously considering that over the 3-9 for my 16 inch stainless match barrel ar15..
