I tried shooting my left foot Jerry however it hasn't helped me to much. Maybe I should try the right one.
So that I can get that sweet spot I have to use a 1 inch riser which prevents me from cowitnessing
want one I mean
military stance and I ant one
Where can you get a copy of this DVD
so much to know it frustrates me knowing that I don't know these things but it takes dedication and practice .
Jerry is the man,the myth and the legend!!!!!!
Thank you for Sharing!
Do u hv a vedio on how u set up yr ar-15 for competition???
Jerry's Practical Rifle videos are the best. Video advise from super expert shooter Jerry Miculek, that is presented excellently. This series is a bargain.
he looks younger but still old
Jerry and I were in 'Nam together….hunkered down in a fox hole….Practicing….stuff….
if jerry miculek had digital copies available on his sit I would buy them
Can anyone tell me what kind of charging handle that was?
I like the way Jerry explains things…..great teacher,I have learned a lot from him and his videos!
@4:30
great tips
What scope are you using?
Good stuff 🙂
I'm buying my first AR and I want to know if I have to clean and lubricate my gun before shooting it brand new?
sorry guys, i hate to say it, but that intro music is probably THE most unfitting thing EVER
At CelticSouthland- tell that to the Navy SEALS or any member of any Special Forces team!
Anyone seeing that magnification through his glasses? Whew! Thats not a true 1x for sure ;). Jokes!
I love CA. I just hate the Gun Laws. I wouldn't leave this place though. i rather have illegal guns
He didn't really go into your forward hand on the handguard. You'd want to wrap your thumb (not rest the rifle on hand) as much as you can(he does this, but did not mention it). With most AR's this should not block your iron sights. With an AK you'll need to pull it back some to see the sights.
Also without armor. It is better to eat a round from the front out your back. Then it is to go in you sideways with higher chance to hit vital organs.
bbbbooooo!!!!!!!
that ar looks beast!
THANKS FOR THE TIP..
True but this is for competition. Semi-blading the body provides better support for the rifle. Costa's squared off stance is more about presenting body armor and a lower profile, while maintaining the competition-style parallel support arm for quick muzzle control.
What you're describing is more of a modern combat stance, presenting a tighter profile while still squared off to the target (to expose body armor rather than the side of your body). The stance advised in this video is better suited to competition shooting, where you want maximum accuracy and fast target acquisition (so they use the "Magpul grip" too). Having the shooting side back ("chicken winging") provides better support for the rifle stock.
What's the sight setup Jerry is using? Brand not configuration?
I'm glad you said this. People need to understand there is a huge difference in shooting techniques derived for sport and combat. Most of the styles young shooters fall back to are what they see on t.v. and video games. That's all fine and dandy if your being shot back at and just need to put rounds down range. Even with that most who think they are shooting proper "fighting" stances don't even understand what they are doing or doing wrong.
