Danny, I have the same scope on my Savage 93R17 HMR. You will love it!!!!
Looks good, the scope being a bit high is probably a good thing because the Axis has a 90 degree bolt throw which will bang into lower mounted scopes from what seen.
Nikon makes quality optics …….. Excellent choice.

That's a great scope i have one with the bdc recital you will enjoy it i recently bought a Redfield that I love for about the same price
Recital… lol. That scope is great. Price point is great as well. I love the Nikon Prostaff line. I have them on a couple shotguns and my muzzle loader. Is the scope/ bdc designed for a .223? If you have any questions about the scope or how to use the bdc feel free to pm me. An all around great buy!

I dunno shit about scopes, I got one been sitting in the package probably since October, part intimidated, part don't have the perfect rifle for it yet; at least that's what I keep telling myself… I can't wait to see the range video, and I hope your buddies Marlin does good too…. I hear a lot of good things about the leupold stuff, as well as Nikon…..That rifle looks absolutely awesome all blacked out with that big ass black scope on it, well done sir…. AM4L
