An up close review of my CMMG build. Started with an upper to see if I liked it. I liked it so much I decided to make it a build of it’s own. The suppressor is a Gemtech Outback II.

I just got the CMMG complete upper with the SS upgrade ( silver bolt carrier and forward assist block). It feels like shooting a AR 15 w heavy buffer , silencer and compensator in one lol . It is not a good training gun The springs are too soft so when you go back to you 223 AR it feels like you need to do weights lol it throws you off ( I don't know why they say a 22 is a good training gun ? I prefer to training with air soft for tactical and then use the real thing ).
blowback
You can find it at brownells. Just type BLAM in the search box. Making an account will save you some money at check out. They are pricey but they are very sturdy and well built.
I can't find that CDP Blam 1A rail anywhere on the web. Any help finding one would be appreciated. Great video by the way. +1 on the ACOG when you get it installed
You bet. It is just a mil spec AR 15 lower made by cmmg. The upper receiver is standard as well. The only differences is the bolt, the .22 cal barrel, and a slightly different ejection port cover.
can you put that upper on any ar 15 lower?
Great video. I especially like the info on the feature that will allow the bolt to stay back. I'm starting my Lower build now and will be getting a dedicated .22 upper afterward
