PPC’s are great for training, the lesser recoil and lower noise is exceptionally good for those who are new to firearms but are little intimidated. As mentioned in the video the ammo is much cheaper shooting 1000rds of 9mm is a lot easier on the wallet then 556. The compatibility is great a glock17 and glock mag ppc makes for a super easy kit no fumbling about for the correct mag when doing fast reloads just grab the next on on the belt regardless of the firearm. More acceptable at more locations many sites are not properly out fitted to handle rifle calibers especially when shooting steel at shorter distances so don’t scoff at the ppc they are more that just fun 😊
i live in an apartment building, wood construction. so over penetration during a home invasion in a extremely important thing to consider in my load out, i do own more than just a 9mm carbine but it is what sleeps next to the bed with me at night, i agree that the cartridges are not rifle rounds, but 10 hallow points of 9mm coming from a 16 in barrel i think will do the job without hurting any of the neighbors or there children, i would also consider that if there is more than just yourself in a single family home, it would be world changing to hit a intruder and go through a wall into a family member , i respect your opinions on this but thats just my 2 cents . thanks bro
I don't get why people say pistol calibers suck when more people die from pistols then long guns(yes I know it's because they are simply used more). What I mean to say is more violent criminals are stopped by law enforcement officers and law abiding citizens acting in self defense using handguns then any other firearm. Pistols will still get the job done, a bullet to the CNS, heart, lungs, liver, major arteries will kill plain and simple. Obviously rifles are better and an AR-15 in 5.56 is my primary home defense gun, but handguns will still get the job done providing proper shot placement. A 9mm out of a 16' barrel is still giving you .357 mag velocities.
Btw Andrew, Ron Williams still makes .357 and .44 magnum AR uppers that use Desert Eagle magazines sleeved into 20rd straightbody AR mags. One of them is on my list.
Great Review The Best in Loads would be .38super (9x22mm) / 9x23Win (9x23mm) / 10mm(10x25mm) more case = more powder . A YouTuber Said He was gone to use His 9mm for hog hunting .
It will save you some hearing loss for sure. Firing a Rifle or magnum in a dark room will have a flash that is blinding and a report that is deafening like a flash bank. The pistol caliber rifle is not as bad. If shot placement is good, it won't make that much difference.
This would have been better if you would have dedicated the video to just just "Are PCCs a good choice". I agree with what you are saying, but I came here for a review on the CMMG Guard. Kinda feel like this was a bit off topic.
yea, I have a WC 9mm carbine and it's a lot of fun. It was purchased as a competition gun for steel and USPSA and I really think that's where the 9mm carbine excels. There was a time when the 9mm had a place as a defensive and self defense weapon, but today there are better options in the long gun category.
PCCs are fantastic for shooting steel up close. Much more fun and safer than rifle calibers. Does this make them a range toy? Perhaps, but they can also double as great truck/trunk guns and HD if need be. They're great for shooting steel and that makes them a good buy IMO.
I wish you'd gone into some detail about the delayed blowback mechanism and had given insight on reliability and any wear issues.

It's called USPSA. Practical is right in the name. PCC is catching fire on the competition scene.
I agree, for all that bulk why not 5.56.

Yes, The Ruger take down 9mm carbine looks really nice also..
