I had a chance to check out the Vortex OPMOD Strikefire II on my AR-15. It’s a great sight for the price. I like red dot sights anyway. They really help with quick target acquisition and low light shooting.

Great video…you just made my mind up….
Here's the big question for me regarding red dots: will the dot be washed out by my AR's nite lite in my hallway at 2 am. I am lo-tech but have heard that "holograms" are washed out by flashlight…though I don't know if this red dot is a hologram or if you know differences between one type of red dot working with light and others not working so well. Right now, when my can comes in, I'm planning to work it with my lite and just use iron sights. If a good red dot would help in such a quick look sort of a scenario, I'd consider it. I just don't want to pay 3-500 $$$ to find out (no, I know no one who has one. I know, I need to circulate more). thanks.
**** I believe you give great and honest advice….Just joined "Second Call Defense" and used your Promo Code !!…… Thank you !! 😉 **
Hi, what is that grip on your magazine well called?
i like mine red during the day or high light as green disappears. and green at night or low light because the red is over powering
Would that scope work on a Mini 14
I'm glad I found this video. It's my first from you but will not be my last. Thanks.
Sounds more like a commercial than a legit review
so you carry that thing around with you every where you go just in case you have to use it for self defence??? seems kinda bulky and accesive to me
I like that grip! What is the name of it,or where did you get it from? Thank you and love your channel!
JOEL what is the benefit of a longer red dot . Over say a short bushnell trs25 or aimpoint t1 ?I wonder because one is adding weight.
Excellent review, my eyesight is getting worse, I have a strikefire 2 on my AR, good up to 200mtrs at very good at 100mtrs at a 50mtr zero (for me personally).
I have the non opmod, what is the difference? Can’t see it
Excellent video!
Outstanding job . Thanks a lot.
Does the sight work in the dark?
Wow Great video ( 5 stars ) for an old guy ! Thanks !
Enjoyed watching. I have the first Vortex Strikefire and Sparc. Very clear and thorough. Great job.
Great video, I enjoy all your videos. Very informative and being hearing impaired, I can hear & understand what you say with your deep voice. Thx
Thanks! An almost rare, expert, knowledgeable, adult, objective, review. Thumbs up.
Looks like i hearing sssshhhawn conery talk..Shhhawn conery
If you're color blind…. red is green and green is red…
You're the Bob ross of guns
Vortex strikefire opmod is flat dark earth. This is not the opmod version.
Are you Mike Rowe's brother? LOL – great video, well spoken and well done.
Question: where's the optic made? country?
You're not old! 😳 🙂
A salt weapon?
what is that attachment on your mag well?
I have the red/green version. Too dim to use in daylight. I've heard the red only version is much better in this regard.
Can you use a 22 bb scope on a ar-15 rifle for target practice?
would you use this on a lever action 45-70 bush gun?
