I had the Insight version of this, didn't even make it to the first range trip and it broke. Has everything I'd want the RMR to have…too bad it didn't work.
EoTech bought Insight I believe (look at the co-branded Moss 500/590 and Rem 870 forearm/pump weapon light, sucks, I LOVE my WX-150 over Surefire X300, TLR-1, etc, smallest package to have stick out from your pistol's rail. Hope they kick-start that line again, and.. Think I'll buy an Aimpoint (1, 3, 5, or 8 yr batt life depending on model, M2, PRO, M3 & H-1/T-1, lastly the M4 w/the EIGHT year life. crazy!) over the Insight MRDS. I mean, EoTech Mini Red Dot Sight, hmm, abbreviated it's M.R.D.S…strange!
I'd buy it over an Aimpoint. First, the $489 price point is probably MSRP so I bet it cost less than $489 from a retailer. Second, I rather pay a little more for a American designed/built product than a Swedish designed/built product. Everything else is very nice for the price: Durable, 1 year of battery life and a perfectly sized red dot.
I thought she said $189 and was thinking woah, they're finally realizing that a lot of people don't want to spend enough $ for a budget AR15 on a red dot. Then I read the comments and was disappointed again.

Buy once cry once people. Save a little bit out of a few paychecks and get a quality piece of equipment which will be reliable for a lifetime.
One small problem. Its not an aimpoint!
It's the Insight MRDS re branded to eotech. I have two and enjoy them both. Same company L3 so NBD.
I can get a papm92 for that
Aimpoint 4 Lif. $400 you get 3 years battery life.
in the image of the vid when u click on it it looks like hoss is takeing the gun from an old lady
Good reporting job Hoss nice new product and the battery life is awesome wow a year
only $480 and you get a WHOLE YEAR of battery life? Shut up and take my money!
I'll stick to trijicon RMR sites. But I do love my eotech xps
Doesn't appear to be very 'mini'. Ok, it's friggin' huge. 'Elephantine' is the word that comes to mind.
Whoa, A whole year of battery life? They're almost where Aimpoint was 15 years ago
No thanks…i will just buy 10 of the cheap ones and throw them away "one by one" when the batteries die, or they break.
Thanks Hoss! I was looking for something smaller to fit the new Stormwerkz rail I just mounted on the M85.
EOTECHs are absolute anvils! You can literally hammer nails with it. One of the best optics made… PERIOD!
Looks like its set to compete with the RMR. I like the concept. The outro was fricken epic! gotta do that some time. Keep up the vids bud!

Aimpoint pro cost 400 flat… Comes with Mount, spacer, and a battery that will last longer too.

Uhm…does that EOtech representative not know what the fuck a CR2032 is?
Did she say you can get it for $189 or did she say it is only $489?
