Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14X40 SF, mil-dot reticle, side focus/parallax adjustment.
Burris Xtreme Tactical mounting rings.
I’ll let you know how the new rig performs after I have a chance to hit the range.
Thank you for your support.

Next time, be sure to match the turret adjustment units with the radical line units. Example: mil dot with mil dot, or MOA with MOA. In this case here, you have mil dot radical with MOA turret adjustments, this will inhibit your progress with learning to shot like the pros and out to longer distances with ease
Warne ultra med scope rings are about the best on the market and get a torque driver for the rings, stop picking things up that say tactical, they seem high like you mentioned.
Thanks for the tip
you can level it perfectly by sliding a shim between your picatinny rail and the flat under part of the scope. quick, simple, cheap, and you can re-level anywhere in the field if needed. the key is having a flat bottom part of the scope (typically where the windage knob is).
good vid – this scope my be my next purchase.
I thought about getting the low rings but I was concerned that the big Badger bolt knob would not have enough clearance. I did my best guess at leveling the scope, but I did not use a bubble.
After watching your vid I thought if you were going to take the time to create I should take the time to post comment. Nice set up but I think I would go with lower rings. Also did you level or just eye it?
Proč nás oblbuje- na začátku je jiný pušlohled všimněte si dvou knoflíku na přední části- ke konci už tam nejsou -tak o co se vlastně jedná
you did well with the nikon, nikon from my experience are much better then luepold and bushnell
I only tried it once and it worked just fine. I'll do an update on it soon.
Thank you very much
Very sweet setup… I've got a new 700 sps aac-sd coming and I got some ideas for my rig from your setup
Thanks my friend. It already looks promising. I can see the crows on the power line across the street (60 yards) in great detail just on the lowest magnification. Hopefully heading out to the range later this week. I'd invite you but I'm pretty sure you live up north. lol
@FF&G I hear ya, I hate having to ship things back. This Thurs. isn't good for me but, keep me in mind next time you head out. Have a great time ringing some plates.
It's an SPS Tactical .308 with some upgrades.
What model is that 700?
cooolio oolio o
@elterrible666 It feels pretty good. I probably could have gotten by with the low rings but it would have been more of a hassle to return and exchange them if they didn't work. I'll let you know about Thursday if you are interested. Thanks bro
How's the cheek weld? I hated having to buy rings virtually sight unseen. I have high mounts on mine but, the objective bell is a 50mm and the bolt knob is close enough to the ocular housing without hitting. The B&C stock had a pretty high comb so your weld should be fine. I had to put a padded cheek rest on mine to get a tighter weld. Congrats on the new glass and hope you shoot dimes. CHEERS!
Thank you
Nice Rifle.
