Here’s some video of the Firefield Carbine Free-float quad rail installation.
It’s a good system, with a solid feel and gives a lot of room for accessories.
Thanks for watching, and please remember to “like” the videos.

My rail can go only so far, making the front sight cant to the left. Are there shims available to line up the receiver with the rail?
I am glad I found this video I found this same free float for my better half on eBay for 16$ roughly. had no instructions at all and was wondering what the hell the 2 little dowel pins were used for . was going to leave them out but you and YouTube have saved me from embarrassing moments and my better half from being blown off thumbs up!
You could use this tool to remove the front sight tower http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/rifle-tools/sight-tools/ar-15-front-sight-bench-block-prod20727.aspx
Thanks so much for the video. It will DEFINITELY help me out with my install. I appreciate it.
I have been using this video to remove my front sight and it was perfect, but i need to ask a question. If i put a small gas block block on mine could i use any size free floating rail or does it have to be the same size hand guard I have on now which is 7 in.
Thank's
is it just me or did he skip banging out the gas tube pin???
Did you put the spacer back on for the A front sight? THANKS
This is an odd one, but whenever I add the little pins into the barrel nut, the rail as a whole goes up at an angle. When they are not there, this doesn't happen. Think anything will happen if I just leave those out?
Congrats !! You really love your wife, lot of wonderful comments about her during your video.
Great video and thanks for taking all that time and trouble to post it! I spent more than 30 years battling with loctited parts while working in the automotive field. A friend of mine let me in on the secret of getting loose those loctited screws on Japanese transmissions and used this method of getting them loose from then on. All I can say is "try it, you're gonna love it." Just heat it for just under 5 seconds with a propane torch before attempting to loosen it. Like I said, great film and Thanks!
Great Video, very good at expaining how things work and what to do and not to do. Thanks.
where did you get your sights for that rifle?
what brand vice clamp did you use?
Not a fan of this Quad rail because of the gap it leaves between the rail on the hand guard and the rail on the upper. Informative Video though!
where do you get a tool like that?
For future tutorials I would suggest listing off the tools needed to to the job before starting.
Inner diameter?
that is an oil filter wrench lol not a strap wrench ahaha goog video tho
8:47 BARK YOUR KNUCKLES REAL GOOD helpful video tho
What's the purpose for removing the flash hider muzzle?
Thanks man very helpfull, and well explained
I noticed your shirt Arnold G&R Club, are you a member there? I was going to check it out as its fairly close to me.
great video. commentary is dead on and extremely informative. thank you
was there an end cap for the rail? if so does it touch the barrel? or does it float like the rail does?
At 8:00 what is the name of the ring he grabs? I really need to replace a triangular one with a round one similar to it. And does anyone know where I could get one? I could really use some help 🙂
Where does one buy this quad rail? And does it come with everything needed. Besides tools?
