New Streamlight TLR-2 HL G: Unboxing

My new weapon light. The old streamlight TLR-2 I had broke on me after many years of faithful service. So, I figured if i have to buy a new one might as well upgrade. Whether the 650 lumens and bright as the sun laser is a good idea on a pistol i use all the time indoors is yet to be seen, but at least I’ve got a light again.

  1. I would recommend the Haley Strategic weapon light. They have two models; 400 lumens and a 400/800 lumens. You can get one it tan or black and it will cost you around $130 – $180 depending on the model and the place of purchase

  2. I ordered one and a holosun reflex sight, be careful ordering from optics planet they double charged my bank account. I was lucky to catch it in time and called them and told them the situation. but that’s scary they tried to take an extra $530. Also paid for 2 day shipping and I’ve been waiting for 4 days now still hasn’t arrived.

  3. I was just wondering, approximately how many years and rounds through the gun before your TLR-2 broke? I was wondering if it wasn't made good enough to take the gun's vibration…just wondering.

  4. Thanks for the tip I appreciate it buddy. I have one more question about the holsters from Raven. Do they have the material inside of the holster that helps prevent your pistol from getting scratched or nicked up from over time holstering and reholstering do you know by any chance? I'm not sure what the exact name of the material is. I have seen it before on some other Kydex holsters. The reason I'm asking is not so much for my Glock 21SF but I might want to get one for my SIG Sauer P226 which I had some custom work done to it and it's as you know pretty much double almost what a Glock costs?

  5. Hey how's it going. I just had a quick question about the holster you showed in this video. I just purchased the same Streamlight light/laser combo you have in the video TLR-2 HL G. I am mounting it to my Glock 21SF that I use for concealed carry. What brand holster is the one you show in the video or is it custom? I'm looking for a good quality IWB holster to fit my Glock 21SF/Streamlight TLR-2 HL G setup. I'm open to whatever is the best quality money is no issue. Kydex or leather doesn't matter to me. I'm former military who and settled in Florida now. Any help or advice I would really appreciate because I haven't found a production holster for concealed carry that I really am thrilled with, that's why I was thinking going the custom holster route. Thanks!

  6. I have another question. How much body armor is a normal patrol cop allowed to wear? With ambushes happening these days, a cop might never know when he needs it. Are they allowed to wear helmets and riot shields when just patrolling? Or does there need to be a riot happening or some predetermined need for it? A helmet would be very helpful even if he just gets attacked with fists cuz they have to take your helmet off to do damage, unless they go for your neck I suppose. You can also head butt with a helmet if you wanted to, if there was some fight.

  7. Watch out for white walls and mirrors and the bounce back shouldn't be too bad. I'd use ambient light until I have to ID the threat then shut the light off and hopefully get to cover for the second assumed assailant.

  8. since you have the holster for light laser, spend the extra $10.00 for the hood lock piece. keep hood locked tell u need to use it. that's what I had for my old one.

  9. You did a video on DA and DAO Pistols for Duty, and you did revolvers but what do you think about 1911's Based on thumb safety, trigger, grip safety, Capacity. just curious on you thoughts. I know there are still agencies that use them but i want your honest opinion.
