Part two of the ETS C.A.M. Mag Loader review. After I posted my first video I got an email, totally unrelated to my video though, about how to make the Mag Loader work better if you use gun oil on some parts of the Loader. So I tried it out and did see a significant improvement.

  1. I think the fact that it also fits 40 caliber that maybe it might be a tad bit too big for 9mm and maybe it's the reason they get bunched up. If they made one specifically for the 9mm only maybe there would be less bunching.

  2. Mine loaded effortlessly BUT its not seating my ammo fully back into the magazine (they're about an 1/8th of a inch forward) which causes mis-feeding right from the first round. I dont know if its something I'm doing but I'm pretty disappointed.

  3. Thanks for the information on the lube.

I just received the 9mm/.40 loader today and boy did it give me trouble. To load 5 factory Glock 18 mags to 30 rounds it took slightly over 20 minutes. The rounds bind up a lot and there is no moving the slide down at all until you take them all out and start over. I did not see that this needs to be oiled or broken in on the package instructions nor did I see anything on the site that shows this step so there's something they should be adding to the package instructions in the future. My hands hurt, as well as my chest after I was done and still do several hours later and I am not a small man by any means at 6'3" 240 lbs.

This loader really doesn't like steel cased ammunition at all regardless if it's lacquer coated or not which kind of sucks since I run SMG's on that most of the time. It fared slightly better with 115gr brass ammunition in 15 round magazines but again was a bear to get it in 30 round Glock 18 mags. I watched several Youtube reviewers use theirs and to the best of my abilities I was doing the same thing. I will give it another shot but as of now the jury is still out on it's overall usefulness over other popular options.

  5. There is definitely a learning curve to using this loader. Once you watch a video such as this it definitely helps. Before you know it, you just might think it's the best thing since sliced bread. Yeah, corny line. When you are getting close to topping the magazine, it does help if you place the butt of it against your hip while pushing the final rounds into it. It sounds like it works for .357 Sig and .40 SW. That's great because I just added a couple of them into my arsenal. I'm mostly a 9mm guy, but decided to try something new. Thanks for the video. :thumbs up:

  6. there is a learning curve with this mag loader, i struggled with loading my ets glock 31 rd 9mm mags for about 10 minutes. But now i have zero issues using this it is a great loader imo even works with my single stack S&W shield mags. just takes practice. never had to use any lube but will probably try it out now.

  7. Thanks for the videos. My CAM loader will be here soon. That's really disappointing that the bullets aren't staying securely lined up in the rails. I wonder what kind of tolerances they're working with to make that happen. Maybe it's because it's for 9 and 40. Hopefully it's not a problem for me.
