Definitely want one! My buddy and I will sit around killing time while the barrel cools down so you aren't just stuffing your hott ass gun back into its case. Be nice to have a simple gadget cut the time down when you want to go home lol
I bought this mostly just to mess with the guys at the range, I didn't have high hopes as to it's practicality. Imagine my surprise (although I shouldn't have been surprised, it's a Caldwell product after all) when the darn thing is awesome! It certainly fits into that "I didn't know I needed one until I had one" category. The fit is perfect in the magazines of both my AR-15's and it can be used in my Remington 700 as well. The fan blows strong out the end of the barrel and cools EXACTLY as advertised. There is also a nice blue LED that shines in the chamber when the unit is on..it's kind of a silent slap in the face to the guys who don't have one. One of my range friends saw it and instantly had to have one, just because we're gadget guys and because it performs well too. Go ahead and get one, it pays for itself in the 'scuse me while I whip this out department"….AND it works. Rechageable batteries last a long time, and are easy to charge with the included charger.
