I have this same light. It's my first light. But 1 big down fall of this light is, I cant use my index finger to turn on the light. If u got long fingers than ur good. But if u got regular to small hands than u have to use ur off hand.
Why didn't Streamlight didn't think of this?

If you’re looking for a holster that will fit the stream light TLR 8 https://www.tier1concealed.com/products/agis I called them up on the phone a few weeks ago and they said they now will fit the stream light TLR 8 they told me when you place the order to let them know you have the TLR 8
@mrgunsandgear have you had any issues where dry firing with the light causes it to flicker as is there wasn’t good battery contact ?

I bought a TLR-8 about a Month ago for my G17 Gen5 and the damn Elevation screw was stripped out of the box. Returned it.
I always pay attention to the lumens when I'm looking at a new light. I have never had a gun mounted light move 2 or 3 inches. If a light moves that much then it needs to be tightend or replaced.
I like the design of the light but the controls absolutely suck. I wish it came with the paddles.

I'm a huge Streamlight fan and this is a well done review. I think you can't bet the price and quality of a Streamlight product and reliability. You get your money's worth out of any Streamlight product. Awesome video Mrgunsngear.
Well this make me feel better about my $80 olight purchase. I was seriously considering something with a laser but just kept reading how they needed to be re-zeroed and the more I thought about it, Id rather aim if I am even given the opportunity. Im a relatively new handgun shooter and the least surprising thing to me was the confirmation that in a shitty situation Im likely not going to have the luxury of really aiming, and will have to rely on muscle memory and feel for typical self defense distances.
Just say no… to lasers. I am so much faster and more accurate with sights. I just waste time hunting for the laser while I tell everyone exactly where I am. Just say no.

I like my old TLR-4 for indoor use, @ 125 lumen it doesn't completely kill your night vision. but for most uses like a duty gun / outdoors this looks great!
