Streamlight Strion LED and HL Flashlight Review – Scout Prepper

I review the Streamlight Strion family of flashlights including the standard Strion, Strion LED, and Strion LED HL. These are great rechargeable flashlights. I have had one of mine for over 7 years and never had a malfunction. The new HL model is 500 lumens and is outstanding in the woods, on duty, or in a pinch.

  1. Great video! Just as little info to pass along to your viewers though. As of about 6-8 months ago Streamlight updated the basic strion led to 260 lumens. It's double the brightness of the one I this test. It's still no match for the HL still but they're made for different purposes. Just picked one up tonight at cabelas with the ac and dc chargers. LOVE it! My stinger led dual switch was just getting too bulky to carry all the time at work. Great light but just really long and fairly heavy.

  2. The strion that i have interchanges batteries with my strion led and ive had mine for about 4 years.  I dont know if they redesigned it but they also have an led conversion kit on amazon called the terraLux which is almost as bright as the strion led, but you dont have the nice functions as the new led with the tap on and off and the different settings, but the battery does seem to last a lot longer than the strion led. i have gone a week without charging mine and my boss has to charge his everynight.
