I was so impressed by the Nikon M-308 optic that I had to share it. It’s everything you want. It’s a great value and packed with features found on higher priced scopes. You would be wise to check out the Nikon line of optics for your AR-15 and AR-10 platforms.

  1. Great review. I just ordered one to put on my ruger precision rifle. Hope the set up is ok . I'm a big time beginner with long range shooting, so I'm just going with reviews and gut instincts on the build. Have no idea what im doing. 😂

  2. I put mine on my M1A Supermatch and love it. One thing, though, Nikon no longer includes the rings. I didn't plan to use that configuration on my M1A anyway but I just wanted people to know. There's nothing like thinking you are going to go to the range tomorrow to zero your new scope, only to find you have no scope rings! I found that the Weaver Top Mount Scope Rings (49041) work very well and yield an adequate amount of clearance for the large objective (forward) end of this scope. The Weaver 49045 will work too if you need the offset to achieve proper eye relief. This is my 3rd Nikon BDC scope and I couldn't happier with them. The Nikon Spot-on phone app makes figuring a firing solution so easy that it almost seems like cheating.

  3. Just when firearms-related prices have dropped significantly, Nikon increased the price on this scope and does NOT include the mount any more, so your comment about lowering the price when eliminating the mount is wrong. I hate that.
