I Traded my AK47 for this CMMG MK3 AR10. I put it through a 50 round test to see if the rifle is worth putting some money into. After figuring out my stability issue I was capable of pretty good groups at 100 yards.
For this zeroing and test I used Hornady Match 168Gr BTHP .308.
Specs from Factory:
– CMMG MK3, Billet Upper and Lower Receivers.
– 18″ Fluted Bull Barrel, .936 Gas block Diameter.
– Proprietary CMMG free float hand guard.
– Magpul PRS Stock.
– CMMG 2 stage Trigger.
Some interesting features about the rifle. I had to call CMMG to find out anything about this rifle as there isn’t really any good info on it. Their was only around 30 of the rifles built in the configuration seen here. And only for the Company CDNN and a local Missouri company “The Black Rifle”. The Fluted barrel was a hit or miss with reliability issues. Either you got a barrel that had extracting issues or you didn’t. The cartridge would get stuck in the chamber after case expansion from firing, and the bolt would rip a chunk of the case rim off during cycle and double feed. The main problem was that the Barrel tolerances are/were too tight and the WASP coating was thicker than expected. BUT, becasue of this problem. The accuracy is reportedly phenomenal on all of the Fluted Bull Barrels. CMMG offered the owners of the problematic barrels to have them send their rifles in to be reamed out in order to be in spec to resolve stuck cases. But that would prove to reduce the accuracy on the owners who reported back on it after having their rifles reamed. The owners who didn’t have extracting issues benefited from the superb accuracy and non problematic extracting issues.
Luckily for me I got a good rifle. I put 50 rounds of Hornady 168gr Match down range without one issue. Only possible concern I saw was heavy extractor wear on the spent cartridges that were shot. Which may make reloading an issue.
Because of the past problems CMMG opted to put basic outsourced Stainless Bull Barrels into the future run of this rifle. Which turned out nobody wanted so CDNN didn’t request any future rifles. And this configuration fell to the wind. Resulting in a rare AR10 that’s either a pain in the ass or an amazing shooter for the price.
I added some minor parts such as KNS Pins, and BADASS Safety. Fireclean lubrication, “O” ring extractor.
The Glass I am using is a Bushnell Elite Tactical 4-16×42. Not a bad piece of glass but not great.
I will be putting a better scope, 16″ SLR Keymod rail, SLR Sentry 9 Adjustable GAs System, new trigger, Cerakote job, SilncerCo muzzle brake, monopod, and some other parts on in the future. Ill post a video of the zero when its done as well.
It will also be using a SilencerCO Saker 7.62 in the future.

Are you a scout sniper? I saw your necklace in another video.
With a match trigger and the way you grip you'll be bump firing that gas gun all over the place
