Good review but my experience with the Guard has been very different. I agree the price is very tough to swallow. I have been shooting the Guard in 45ACP for over a year and in 9MM for about 6 months. I have never had any problems when using Glock mags or SGM Tactical mags, they both work great. Nor have I had any problems with ammo feeding, firing or extracting. I have tried a variety of FMJ and HP ammo and it eats everything with no problems. CMMG did make a big mistake with the 9mm Guard first came out with the 1/2×36 muzzle thread pitch. That was fixed after the initial run and is now the standard 1/2×28 in the 9MM guns. Except for the price they are great guns.

It's a really cool platform, to bad I live in New York State so we are limited to 10 rounds, have to have a permanently fixed magazine if you want a pistol grip, birdcage, adjustable LOP stocks ( I KNOW!!!). Are best options are the space stock and weird grip you must pay an extra $150 on, we have terrible gun laws now, most of NYS is rural and their Sheriff's won't enforce it so things in NYS are really confusing can't wait to leave.
