I’ve always been a fan of the TLR-1, even before it reigned as king of the lumens. I love the controls of the Streamlights and the mounting mechanism, and how reliable they are. The Streamlight TLR-1 HL has never been a looker in my books, but it really gets the job done well. Streamlight‘s latest iteration of the TLR-1 certainly packs a punch at 800 lumens, and when size isn’t an issue – it’s my current go-to pistol light of choice.

  1. All too big ridiculous adds to much weight no need for 800 lumens that rock head gunsngear only pushes products because he gets free stuff or gets paid he's a manufacturer ClownBoy don't pay any attention to his dribble

  2. Can some plz tell me if the tlr 1 lens replacement works on the cause the glass part before the round the that sits before glass part plz help it got shoot out while I was play airsoft

  3. That is WAY too many lumens, at least for me. I'm way more comfortable with 200-400 for indoors especially, because while yes you can "train around" blinding yourself with a light that bright but why not just have a light that is plenty bright for reasonable distances but won't blind you nearly as bad. The hotspot is way too bright for me too, I like being able to see through the hotspot up close still, which that light didn't seem to allow. Also loved the comparison to other lights, maybe in the future you could also do it in a longer/larger room and/or outside?

  4. Noice review! Does it carry well, or is it a little much? Mine is currently dedicated to my nightstand G21. I feel like it may be a bit uncomfortable to carry it appendix since it does stick out a bit lower on my G19/30 and I usually carry a light anyway. Not sure if I should pony up for the holster if it make me sterile when I sit…Thanks!

  5. From what I understand, 850 lumens is the point at which your attacker will be blinded. Anything less is just disorienting, but not blinding. But, in a home? Wouldn't you light up the entire room, including yourself? When is too much light, too much?
Looking forward to your comparison of the APLC and XC1

  6. When mentioning lumens in the specs initially or the hotspot later, you failed to capitalize and mention the candela rating. That tells you how far of a throw a light will have. So a 300 lumen light with say 10,000 candela will be a tight spot i.e. throwy beam compared to say a 500 lumen, 3000 candela beam which would be more flood. Educate the public. Lumens isn't all we should be worried about. I'd want higher candela for a rifle for example. Otherwise well done.

  7. One thing to keep in mind with such a bright light (>400 lumens) is that at night if you flick this on and point it against a white wall, you will temporarily blind yourself. Just a training hurdle to keep in mind.

  8. 15000 candela is also impressive. I would buy inforce if streamlight didn't exist. surefire is solid as fuck but to pricey for me unfortunately.I'm deciding between bravo and your holsters as my first. I'll end up with both eventually anyway I'm sure. Anyways love your videos and greatly appreciate them.
