In this video I review a Nikon 4.5-14x40mm bullet drop compensator reticle rifle scope. I demonstrate the use of the reticle on steel plates at different ranges.

  1. Great video, I just purchased the Nikon Buckmaster 4-12 x40 BDC scope and was a little confused on how it worked. I will be sure to check out the website and app as well. Hopefully This will pair well with my Remington 700 in 300 H&H.

  2. Thanks for posting such a thorough review of the BDC equiped scope. I'm likely going to buy one, as I find the "no-dope" idea very appealing for the shooting I do. It's hard to argue with a 500 yard shot.

  3. Great Vid. When I check out the website that you provided however I am a bit confused, the BDC drops depending on the magnification that you set your scope on. In other words if I use 4X @ 300 yards on the DBC, it changes, (bullet drop) significantly if it set it up to, let say 10X….Why is this?

  4. @ Albert Abril I just got the same Remington 700 SPS Varmint with 26in heavy barrel.  I change the stock, went with a B&C stock. I did not go with the BDC, was scared to try it out but after watching this video. I'm think about it really hard.

  5. jcsguns, very nice shooting! I just bought the same 700 sps varmint. Im trying set it up kind of like yours. *Can you please advise me what size (height) are your scope rings? Low (1/4")?

  6. Well done. How very refreshing to have "just the facts" void of, the all too common, superfluous, self-agrandizing ramblings. I hope your "economy" of words brings you much success. One more subscriber here!
