Taking an in depth look at the Nikon Black X1000 long range rifle scope with an X-MRAD illuminated reticle.

I MISTAKENLY CALLED IT THE X-MOA RETICLE IN THE VIDEO BUT IT IS THE X-MRAD

  1. Hello. I will be putting this scope on my new bergara b14 hmr in 6.5 creedmoor. What was your experience with the illuminated reticle? Any problems with it being fuzzy or having a "starburst" effect?

  2. I heard that you have adjust second focal plane scopes frequently whenever you change the magnification. I am used the First focal plane scopes (which stays same at all magnifications) and so is hesitant to buy this. How much adjustment you need to make every time you change magnification? or it affects only in long range shooting?

  3. I just bought the 4-16×50 MRAD scope, and have been reading up on these as much as possible while waiting for my scope to come in the mail. I love the video, but was confused. All my reading says the x1000 does not come in 6-24×50 in MOA. The 6-24×50 is only availible in MRAD. I also noticed at 1:58 your scope says MRAD on the windage turret. Thought you might be interested to know you have the MRAD reticle not an MOA reticle. ☺

  4. I picked the 4-16 MOA scope up this weekend and can't figure out how to set my zero. I know that the turrets are spring loaded to go back to zero. But how do I set my zero I would really appreciate some help in this area because I am new to the long-range game. It would be really awesome if you have the time to make a video of how to sight the scope in. It's a new scope and the manual isn't any help in that area.

  5. Nikon, underrated but quality enough for me. Bud's Gun Shop has some nonsense posted about the MP 10 being only sold to "professionals", as per S & W. Instant turnoff for me, what the hell are they about?

  6. And adding another scope to look at when I purchase my first gun, not my first, but the first one I'll have purchased, looking at getting a bolt action in 300 Win Mag or 338 LM. Great review, you always have very interesting videos that aren't trying to sell the product, but show it as it is, and I like that. Keep it up man.
