The AR-15 is a customizable sporting rifle, and collapsible buttstocks are no exception. The stock ones on new AR-15’s are often too simple, and don’t allow you to obtain a comfortable cheek weld. Here is a fast and simple way of removing and replacing the buttstock on an AR.

New to AR's. Just got my first completed lower. Thank you so much for this info.
I can’t believe it’s that easy!
Good to know since I like the A2 solid stock versus the adjustable ones.
Thanks
Thanks Da
That easy… Wow, thanks bud!

Oh my jesus….thank you. I was about to start cutting this buttstock
Thank you, I have used M16s since Joining in 1984(still in Engineers National Guard) I just bought my first M4 Collapsible and want to upgrade.
Wow
Can i remove the "adjustment lever" on the stock? Im painting it and want to leave some accents of black.
My girlfriend broke the stock lever when she was cleaning the safe does anybody know how to take it off without the lever
I feel dumb but thanks for the help! lol
Very helpful! Thanks!
I appreciate the video, but…
Why does every how-to video have an intro that takes up 75% of the video, making what only needs to take 20 seconds into 2 minutes?
I know the butt stock comes off, I wouldn't be here if I didn't.
Thank you man. Boy do I feel stupid…
Ty
I feel so dumb now I waited 2 months for my friend to change it since he knows alot about guns. I wasted 2 months of my life. LOL
Just show how to take off the stock.
Thanks
Thankyou for this.
I never knew…
What about the stocks that aren't the non-adjustable ones on the m&p15's
Thanks! The instructions that came with my AR only showed a takedown release lever I didn't have on my model for taking off the buttstock.
Sweet..
unfortunately not on mine colt made in canada
Another thing, choose the right spec stock, either mil or commercial, because the buffer tubes are different diameters.
Thanks man. That was a perfect video. That’s exactly what I was looking for.
Dude….im kind of a big gun guy and all my friends come to me w questions about guns and I didn't know this one. Wow! Thank you!
Concise and to the point. Thank you.
