I had great results with both of these optics, and I expect great long term performance from them. If I could only have one, I’d be hard pressed to say which it would be.

Very nice!!
Excellent review. Thank you. I learned a lot.
Yeah buy a scope from Optics planet an you will be lucky to see your scope or your money back!
I guess I lucked out. I have both of them, and really can't complain about either. I have the Nikon on a 16" AR in 223/556, and the Vortex on a 18" AR in 223 Wylde. They both perform well and I'm happy with them. Good review; thanks.
hey if you want to see how tough the scope is put in on a magnum Springer if it can survive that it's a tough mother f***
which one would you think would work for a .270 win ?
I always buy Nikon but I just got a crossfire 2 4-12×44 and I wish I went with a Nikon the vortex I don't like that you have to be lined up perfectly to be able to see in the scope so I would say if u want a vortex spend little more or spend less and get a Nikon
I'm starting to the the BDC reticle is going to be the most accurate reticle out there. I understand a basic reticle is accurate too but to me, it seems the reticle itself covers the impact hole so you won't get surgical like the BDC reticle. I don't know, I'm just venting I guess.
What kind of rings are you using on the vortex?
2:06 — funny…
DORK!
Put a 3×9 prostaff rimfire on big boy .357 cowboy big loop. Works great!—–🐸🐸
Nikon = way brighter view
Great review….thanks…I am trying to find a decent scope for a Henry .22 @ 72 my eyes aren't what they used to be
i have experience with both scopes and by far vortex is much better better glass by far and the warranty for vortex is far superior. vortex for life
What kind of QD mount for the Vortex?
I have a Nikon Prostaff 3-9×40 and it has been fitted on a .308 and a K31 rifle. Hundreds of rounds later and no problems. Good scope for the money. No regrets in buying at all.
which would be better suited to a mossberg mvp?
Recommendations for a 308 bolt rifle scope? Budget around 200-300
I ordered a vortex and I send it back, looks cheap, I got the Nikon… way off compared with the vortex
Still undecided on my diamondback, right now think the redfield might have it beat.
not really wanting to shout yet NIKON HAS THE WORST RETURN POLICY i have ever had the misfortune to have to REPEATEDLY use.
i started out with a scope that broke. they sent me a ?NEW? one that also broke, then they sent me back the same scope with the manifest sheet showing NO REPAIRS were even attempted, then i sent them back the scope and they sent me a 3-9-40 scope that was a Bdc for a .22. IT TOOK 3 YEARS TO get a working scope put back on my rifle that was a bdc like i shipped them in the first place.
record your conversations so you can play the other damn supervisors words right back at them and NEVER not one apology for sending the broken scope back to me without any work even being attempted.
Relatively medium range…
Give me a free Nikon scope
Great Job
10 year old vortex return and they send you a brand new one no questions asked.
Nikkons are made in the Philippines low level bargain junk.
What about the Leopold vx1? I'm leaning towards that but these are right up there
Mediocre review. Kissing Optics Planets ass was hardly noticeable.
Buy the Vortex, thank me later.
how would one of these be on a marlin 336 30-30?
how was the tracking on the scopes
