I wanted to test and see how accurate my CMMG conversion was. I used 6 common 22lr ammunition. The test was at 50 yards. I was surprised with the accuracy. This is my first product/gun review.

Can anybody tell me if shooting .22lr in 5.56 barrel could damage the barrel? Or the high count of .22lr shot would consume the barrel as if I shoot 5.56? Thanks in advance.
Every AR should have this. I use the Black Dog magazines that have a BHO.

my echo kit ran flawless for 100 rounds then cracked the barrel extension on both sides. CMMG replaced the part no question asked.
I initially had issues with my CMMG “BRAVO”, but CMMG was STELLAR in customer service and after replacing the parts they sent me AT NO COST, not even shipping, we obtained success! I now can fire Federal and Winchester cheap ammo with fun!😎👍

I know this is a couple of years old, but i bought the cmmg with 3 mags i had an old parts bend and i assembled me a decent rifle added a couple of decent parts, i found the CCi mini mag and AR tactical 22Lr. ammo worked great 1000 round with 1 hick -up round at 80 to 90 yards on a 6 inch AR500 plate at 1.2 inch thick,so much F'n Fun!

I have one of these, and it wasn't as accurate for me. 20-30% of the time it would be dead on but the rest of the time it would be going anywhere.

Where do you get your CCI Stangers?, I havn't had a box of those in my hand in about 3 decades.
Aguila SSS 60Gr 22LR Sub-Sonic Ammo, the extra twist should work best with the heavy round…..i think 1/10 twist is needed to make them fly stable.

Anyone know how this conversion kit adapts to the gas system of the rifle? I'm more concerned with the additional fouling of standard .22LR ammo. Does it rise into the gas port? Does the extra lead fouling reach the gas system at all? The AR15 was designed after all with a tiny hole in the barrel to capture gas. With a slower, and softer bullet, does it affect it in any way?
22lr aren't going to be as accurate through an AR as 5.56 or .223. Your shooting 22lr out of a barrel with something around a 1/5 twist. Ruger 10/22s have a 1/16 twist.
Why whould you buy an AR-15 chambered in .223? AR-15s should be chambered in 5.56. If is chambered In 5.56 It can shoot 5.56 and 223.

Hey plink , seems ok but what about the increased twist. Both of my AR's are 1/7 twist.
