You can literally use any sort of gun. Shotguns and larger calibers, like pistols, will do the most damage by making larger entry holes and by going slower, might tumble through the victim, get caught inside him, etc. AR-15’s are semi automatic, the civilian versions are, and on top of that it shoots a smaller caliber. If I made an AR-15 look like that of a little ruger 10/22, nobody would care. They would call it a medium game rifle, something for hogs, coyotes, foxes, etc. but as soon as it remotely looks like a military M4, they all think it’s some sort of military grade assault weapon.
