Today let’s look at a budget option for the rifle light. With double the candela of the previous version this light punches far far above its weight class. A worthy option for the minutemen and prepared citizen on a budget. #firearms #prepared #preparedness #prepper #shtf #teotwawki #wrol #prepping #bugoutbag #rifleman #rifle #riflelight #nightfighter #lowlight #guns #ar15 #tacticalgear #tactical #tacticalshooter #streamlight #surefire #x300

  1. What round would u recommend for a shorty ak in 762×39 and or short ar in that caliber, 6.25” barrel up to a 10” for self defense, least likely to over penetrate, I do have someone who reloads and I have had him load me up some sst’s, I’ve shot ballistic gel with those and the nosler varmagedons, and the controlled chaos from lehigh, what round do you think would work, soft point sst varmagedons controlled chaos tui from fort Scott? I appreciate the knowledge

  2. Streamlight is an awesome company. They 100 percent make quality products. I wish I would have started with the TLR-1 HL, at like 140ish, over my x300 which was roughly 300 at the time. We currently run the TLR-1 HL and I have shot 1000s of rounds with it mounted. Only issue I have is light NDs because the toggle moves easy.
I've run Streamlight for my rifles too. Same results. They are solid lights. I'm planning to grab a couple of these lights for sure. I've only seen them as low as 130ish. Thanks for the content. You've definitely helped me out.

  3. I recently got a holster from Eclipse Holsters. Decent quality and they have lots of optics and price isn't too bad.
I think I basically carry all the same thing but extra in a bag. Bigger light, more ammo, bigger medical etc. On-person I like to be low profile as much as I can. If you have smaller kids, I highly recommend a SWAT-T somewhere. It's low profile and durable to be moved around a lot. I know a dressing could do the same thing but I for sure know the SWAT-T is going to work in the TQ roll.

  4. I buy Streamlight for everything. I've bought 1 Surefire x300. I wasn't really impressed for the money and I bought mine in the mid $200 range. But I use Streamlight other lights for work. Sometimes I work at night so I have a headlamp and I have one of their magnetic little work lights. Its one of the few things that I will go with the more budget option.

  5. I have to stop you on the blah, blah, blah on the lumens. What's more important is balancing the lumens needed to the added weight on the forward weight of you rifle. We add flip us sights, we add a bipod, we add a forward grip or hand stop, we add Jesus!! Just put a bright small light to extend 100 yards and be done. Stop promoting another product for monetary reasons.

  6. This is what I intend on getting when I eventually can. Before anyone says "You don't have $120?", not right now, for that. I recently had a fire and lost a lot of both preparedness kit (years of building it up) and almost all of my clothing. So, that be the reason. Once I make it through all this, I'll be getting that.

  7. Mine crapped out after 600 rounds or so…the light flickers when i tap on it.
Momstrum on the other hand just dropped the Arcsaber light for about 65 bucks with a better light and features that won't turn the light off due to recoil. It also comes with a pressure switch in the box. Check it out if you get a chance 🎉

  8. Can you test the Pro’s head to see if it’s backwards compatible on the original HL-X? If, yes I’d like to source the Pro head and use on my existing HL-X’s with Arisaka adapters running Surefire tape switches.

  9. The only gripe i have with the TLR's is that over time of running drills with them and actually using them, the plastic switch breaks. So now i carry a spare switch in my range and go bag. Other than that, they are for the money, best pistol light out there. Been edc-ing the 7a and loving the new switch and its small size. Thanks for the video.

  10. Surefire is king for one single reason… Their pro bodies. One single screw and if you strip it out somehow (steel on steel), you can easily swap both out. And of course you get the pivot system with both mlok and 1913. It can't be beaten (even with the bobro pivot).

  11. Love Surefire’s new turbo series. Have bought 2 x300Ts and 3 of the turbo rifle lights in the past year and have never paid over $300 for one after tax (primary arms when on sale, battle hawk armory request quote.) I also don’t use tape switches with white lights so the Z68 clicky is fine.

  12. Good affordable light but too chunky for my 14.5. Just as you said, putting Surefires on all your rifles is too expensive, so I picked the ProTac HLX (old tail cap) for all my ARs. Now I find myself looking for something smaller and much more expensive for my main squeeze. Too huge and heavy up front. And you probably still need to shell out for a more slick mlok mount. The HLX works great on my 18” SPR mounted at 10 o’clock (Arisaka) without the pressure pad.

  13. Quick question Uncle Freedom, with that light will a can still fit on that short barrel upper you have? I am thinking for a Mk18 length setup? Thanks for the great videos.

  14. My 2 gripes with the pro is that the pressure pad has a reduced power output compared to just using the tail cap. You can test this by pointing at a wall and activating the light with the pressure pad, while pressing it down hit the tail cap and you’ll see it get brighter. My second gripe is the rubber insert to protect the plug socket flaps around and rips off easily once you run drills and use barricades.

  15. Thanks uncle so glad i found your channel been a watcher ever since, perfect timing i just got a stream hl-x for my rifle and just went on flashlight dist and saw the streams you were talking about going to get some more. Thanks again and keep the great video's coming. Be careful out there!
