Got my first AR this weekend.
It’s really not in the budget, but I’ve always wanted an AR-10 and I’m starting to worry about another assault weapons ban making the price jump several hundred percent, not to mention limiting options as only pre-ban stuff will be available.
Not that it’s going to happen, but you know, just to be on the safe side.
Anyway, my practical uses for this rifle, barring some kind of zombie apocalypse to worldwide collapse, is for hunting. Hogs, Yotes, and Deer. For the smaller critters I have my 22 and my shotgun. For home defence I have my pistols and my shotgun. The bases are pretty well covered, just wanted to finally round out the collection with one of these guys.
Plus it may give me some fodder for video material lately when the news ramps up the anti-gun talk that always goes along with the first year a new democrat is in office 😉
Once I get some more ammo, I might do some vids of shooting it. I still have some gun vids to do yet, but since they are a relatively small part of rural off-grid life, there are only so many I can do that are in line with my goals for the channel.
