  1. I chose the 250g Ricoh GR II over the 340g Fuji X70 on the basis of weight – despite my main kit being Fuji, and the X70 having the tilt-screen and simulations. For the purpose of having a camera readily at hand, the weight difference was very significant – it spells the difference between a discreet object and one which distorts your jacket or bounces around as you dash.

The more recent, yet scaled-back 280g Fuji XF10 (24mp) is far closer to the weight of the Ricoh GR, though lacks X70's handy tilt and Fuji's high-end features (AF/X-Trans/ACROS). Eric Kim has several comparisons; here's one https://youtu.be/lW7tdUm5Q2E?t=600

Ricoh GR III is due any day now: 24mp + stabilisation – flash.

  2. Can I have both .. yum. One Chris is a little shy and sensitive, and the other Chris has a little edge to him. But OMG. They’re both hot AF. And I don’t mean auto focus here. I know either one would satisfy me.

  3. I think micro mode is just for increase AF speed, because that means in normal use the camera doesn't have to search for whole range (only benefit for contrast AF), but still i would like they have an option can do the whole range AF even it will decrease the AF speed
