Wouldn't a slightly off cheek weld give you more issues the further forward your sight is? Being off (cheek weld) by a little bit when the sight is directly in front of you and you can still acquire the dot. Being off the same amount when the sight is arms length away, and you might not even be able to find the dot, without moving your head around. Seems to me that unless you are living with that rifle day in and day out, you'd be better off having it as close to your face as possible. Please correct me if I'm not understanding things…
