I could not decide between the Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA and the 2L-X. The smaller light outputs 350 lumens and the larger light outputs 500 lumens.

I have had the 1L-1AA as my edc flashlight for the past 2 years and it's awesome, and quite the beast it is durable as hell. I think that flashlight is underrated
Well if you go to other brands you can get 1200-1800 lumen from a single 18650 flashlight. These will of course step down due to heat. But I agree with you, 1xAA is a good size for EDC. Perhaps the 1L can use 14500 batteries?
