  1. Hi I have an AR9 PSA upper new frontier armory lower runs fine until the mag is empty that's when the bolt is stopped by the mag with the bolt, not returning I can't drop the mag I live in California the upper and lower must separate to drop the mag, any fix

  2. I love the budget and improvisation approach. Great work and thanks for sharing. Is it possible to just run the rifle without a bolt catch? I know that there would be no catch and last round hold, but as long as it would work trouble free and getting used to pulling the latch after every magazine, I d be a happy man? Have you or anyone run it successfully without the bolt catch? Thanks again!

  3. I just received my PSA AR9 from PSA and I noticed that the Bolt Release Lever doesnt want to catch and/or hold the BCG to the rear. Any sudden movements and/or any attempts of trying to lock it to the rear, regardless of it actually holding after slow movements, will immediately and/or eventually, slam the bolt frontwards.

Is there any possible way of fixing that or possibly getting in contact with PSA over this issue. I literally got it just yesterday.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. A little late to your video. You should try a heavier buffer and spring. You'll want about 10-15' ejection, any more and your bolt is to fast. I've used H2 and H3 buffers to slow everything down. Some of Colt's early issues to the 9mm conversion was the hammer smacking the disconnector actually breaking a few. Cyclic rate or in your case bolt speed has to be slowed down. When that hammer comes back so fast thing get smacked, other parts also suffer. I'm also a DFW shooter we do the machinegun shoots at Mickey's. Lots to learn there, half the shooters are gunsmiths or work a machine shop.

  5. bolt goes farther back into buffer tube than a normal ar bolt thus slams into catch with greater force buy a spikes buffer tube spacer or equivalent take buffer and spring out install spacer on spring re-install bolt will now hit spacer limiting travel no more broken bolt catches

  6. Nice work man, I did the same three times, until I picked up a Seekins catch and no more broken catches thru at least 1000rds and still going strong, I don't think those Seekins will ever shear, they are beefy. Nice rig!!

  7. Are you a gunsmith in ft worth? I'm in Arlington and looking for someone to help me with some stuff. Nice vid, you seem to take care in what you do. Like using the rawhide hammer because in case you miss it still won't damage anything. Very knowledgeable, good vid. Let me know if you can help or even go shoot sometime, take care.
