I feel like most of the appeal of this gun is simply the fact that Its springfields first and only AR. the hand guard and the front sight makes it look cheap. I feel like its a $500 dpms oracle with a better finish and a cool ass name.

A pinned fixed front sight base won't move on you. Since you are a fan of iron sights, knowing that your free-float-tube mounted front sight will move all over the place, you should reconsider the GI front sight. Especially now that most tubes cover the gas block.
7 ish for any jazzed up from stock rifle is no value. This is a 600 dollar build all day. Some wacky bull pup would've been "different". This unfortunately will be a total miss is today's market. Especially with the UTG sight, common now !

At $630 this rifle seems too be a good deal now, hopefully no real issues have come up. May buy one soon.

I bought the saint with the free floating and I love it. Like you said you don't have to add a lot of things to make it perfect.
You need to give the Steyr m9-a1 a go man, or the L if you want a longer slide, it's a different experience that you wont want to put down

Springfield Armory doesn't specify what material the barrel is made of and I won't buy one unless every important part is specified.
