A look at the Nikon P223 fixed 3 power scope, and P series mounts. 3X magnification and a 32mm objective lens 3+ inches of eye relief, BDC reticle, weight of optic and mount is equal to the eotech 516. Excellent choice for a budget optic or for the shooter needing a fixed tactical scope. This optic is calibrated for the 223 55gr round.

I know this is an older video but I would like to know where you bought that great looking safety/selector switch?
does american defense make a 1 piece qd ring that will work with this?
do you think this scope is durable enough for the 30/30 recoil?
Is the scope mount backwards?
Those scope rings are not necessary.
just got me one can't wait to take it out for some range time
Did you just say you use Google+ ? lol
what kind of handguard is that?
Click bait. Down voted.
Having spring loaded zeroing turrets worries me that someone else using your gun may play with them and then you loose your zero! Can you lock them so no ham fisted person can't change the zero point?
your rear scope mount is too close (spacing) to the turrets, it should be centered. minimum recommended is 1/4" from the turrets to prevent internal damage!.. This is the same for ALL SCOPES!!. now move scope fwd. or back on the rail to adj. eye relief!.
hey man is there different rings you can use to mount it. i think the nikon rings look stupid no offense
dnb and ar15's. how we do.
Is this about the scope or the company you bought it from
Great review. You just sold me on this scope. Man, that is one great looking AR. Lots of thought put into that. Thanks again and btw, love that cool Southern accent of yours!
Noticed your rifle is set up for a south paw! How badass is that! Nice build, looking at getting me a P223
Nice rifle….
Nice set up and review.
Can you do. Shooting vid at 100 yards
Jones is right, My preferred is Steel Weaver Scope Rings. I do not mind Aluminum risers, however for your accuracy and endurance Steel rings with Blue Locktight is the best way to go. Aluminum is subject to galling wich means the friction fit of the screws tightening in can loosen over time and vibration. Steel is more resistant to galling. Not saying anyone's choices are wrong, just that I have had better luck with steel, especially going from one season to the next.
Nice review–this looks like a great, compact option. What are your thoughts on using this in a CQB situation?
just soes yaknows.. you dont need the p-series mounts.. any 1 inch scope rings will work.. in fact the P-series mounts they want you to buy are over priced and annoying to use.. grab a quick detach 1'' scope mount and youll be good to go with out needing any tools to take the scope off
Just got the same scope same ideology
I believe you are seeing a new version of this that has the Nikoplex reticle not the BDC. The one I have has the BDC marks in it. The one you saw if you look at the turets are marked in yards 100 to 500, the BDC one is marked in MOA. after 100 you just use a hold off or you use the turret to dial in your yardage. Nikons setups are a little confusing for different reticle designs both are nice but I prefer the plain reticle with yardage marks on the dials
I went to buy this scope, but I looked through it at the store and saw it just had cross hairs. No tic on the cross hairs. So how do you aim out past 100 yards? I bought a burris ar 332 in stead. It has tick marks(tear drops) down to 500 yards.
yes you can or you car run one forward and one backward if you like I ran them this way because of the scope being so short and it lined up the best this way. If it was linger I would have run it the other way but it would have put the optic in a way that the eye relief would have been wrong. The M223 mount you can not howerver run the other way. The P mounts are ambi
can you mount the scope mounts the other way?
No this scope is rock solid I put almost 400 rounds through it this weekend hill to a 280 and a hundred yards I would highly recommend
HAHA…but hey…you guys have plenty of single shot shotguns!
Ty for the response.
its not to bad but I use it the same way as you prone or from a bench its not really practical for shoulder firing. This one however is super light and easy to shoulder
Isnt that heavy as hell? Mine is for sure but I just use it in prone or bench positions at all times.
I love them
lol if you shop around you can get this set up for under 200 bucks so its a good piece of kit or any of the scopes in the P series are excellent
lmao im the same bro my other one is running a 4-16x Nikon ill have it at E's house glad to hear you are coming up bro
My eyes must be really bad…3 power I still have a hard time at 100 yards. You guys are going to laugh when you see my AR at the shoot. I have a 12 power on mine for shooting quarters at 100-150 yards. Nice scope and thumbs up!
I want to put my fingers in her!
Nevermind, lol. Just finished watching the video..
