Went looking for an inexpensive sight for my M4 and found this on Ebay. We’ll see how it holds up to 223 Rem.

  1. Get a Bushnell Holosight it has the same internals (they were made by Eotech's plant) as the earlier Eotech versions minus the hard metal shield cover. It use to cost $250 but since Bushnell stopped having them produced the price has probably gone up or you have to find used ones now.

  2. You are correct that the clones shift as you move your head, unlike a real Eotech. I bought 3 different clones from 3 different sellers on ebay, knowing they were fake. Between $60 and $70 but they do not perform as well as most generic red dot scopes which internally that is all these are. Great eye candy on my 10/22 tactical conversions. Via quick release mounts, they get replaced with actual scopes when it comes time to shoot them.

  3. I need a optic with a wide filed of view and it needs to be halographic and stay on target despite different sight angles… its for my sig p566 pistol (AR pistol styled weapon)

  4. it doesnt really do what its made for does it? Stay on target despite having different view points? I was hoping it would… I didnt want to have to spend $500-$600 for one but I may just have to save up and spring for a real eotech? whats your opinions on the clones? I had high hopes for them?

  5. Why trust your life to cheap…………can never figure that out. Buy a real one and spend the money once and don't look back. To nice of a rifle to cheap out on the optics.

  6. If it says EOTech clone it is fake. I suggest you visit the officil EOTech website and see what the professionals have to say about knockoffs. I would rather spend $600 on the real thing (and I did) knowing that it will last and be repaired under warranty should anything go wrong than spend $100 on something that can't take the beating of a few 5.56 NATO recoils.

  7. It does use a laser, but not in the fassion of a laser pointer. The laser that holographics use is very low power and is projected onto one side of the viewing plane so that it can only be viewed from the eye of the shooter.

  8. @Canhuntincanuck thanks for posting this. I wanted a EO TEC for ages. I have a cheap m4a1, and wanted to get a inexpensive holographic sight. Do you know where I could find a cheap ACOG? I keep finding them for 1500$ –" I only paid 500$ for my M4a1. Still thanks for posting this, I found one on ebay for about 50$!! Can't wait to get one.

  9. It means that Law Enforcement and Military can use them knowing that it wont fail on them when they need it the most. Most, being a life and death situation. Its called Mil-spec for a reason. Can you imagine how EOTech would stay in business if they restricted who they sold to.

  10. Got you, its a few Sightmark products that I have been looking into, I have not made my final decision on if I want to try the product or not wanting to see this product in action before making my complete decision. I will try to keep you informed of my final decision

  11. If your looking for halo sights, magnifiers, red dot, and scopes on the cheap but function well without spending alot of money for Eotech products look into Sightmark or Aimpoint products they have some nice packages for the money, good luck

  12. It states that the Eotech or Aimpoint sights are for Law Enforcement and Military use, that is what they were intended for, but as you know most all military use items are now made for civilian use, so the very thing that you see the Military and Law Enforcement using you can go to you local gun store or online shopping even gun shows to find all these items.
